[Alice is beaming proudly as she looks at the bracelet. The more observant will notice a slight scratch on her cheek and nose. Nonetheless, she looks very pleased with herself.]

It took me all day but I did it! I did it I did it! [She's bouncing.]

I made myself a pet! Oh but not any sort of pet! No no, I made Marigold!

Would you all like to meet him? I thought it would be a much nicer topic than the gloomy sorts people have been commenting on. [Because dead people? No, thank you. She has had enough of all of that.]

[her eyes go wide and then she's smiling so brightly.] He's amazing. [Then she bows a little.] Hello Marigold, it's a pleasure to meet you.

Thank you! I used my very best paints and all my skills!

[Marigold blinked and then nodded his head.]

He says how do you do! [It would be Alice to make a dragon as polite as her.]

[She laughs, giving a twirl.] Well, thank you. How does it fee to exist?

[The dragon closes his eyes and then gives a soft "ssskaw!" Alice giggles.]

Very nice. Much better than just being a painting.

[littlesoul]

[She laughs too, clapping her hands together.] Bet it is. Glad to have you with us, Mr. Marigold.

[madcuriosity]

[The dragon tilted his head and then clicked his beak.]

He says thank you, Miss River. It's really very nice that people aren't calling my Marigold a monster. He isn't. He's just about as sweet as they come.

[littlesoul]

You didn't make him a monster. You made him something all your own. I wouldn't call much that comes from you monstrous.

He's just very protective of me. So if ever I was being hurt, he would certainly do something then, otherwise he's just a cuddly furry scaled dragon. But thank you! [Although Alice wondered what she did do that was monstrous. A question for a later time.]

[littlesoul]

[She smiles broadly.] He's a sweet boy. Seems to be anyway. I'm glad you have him.

Not seems to be, is! I'd never make something mean... well, not on purpose... I would never really... I wouldn't want to hurt anyone.

[littlesoul]

[That makes her laugh.] Is. He is. Sorry.

[She smiles.] Much better then! Apology accepted, Miss River! And yes, Marigold is very safe.

[littlesoul]

[She nods, smiling.] Good. [She waves to Marigold.] Probably one of the best to watch out for you.

Mnn yes, especially since he sleeps in bed right next to me! Better than any watch dog... oh! Not that watch dogs are bad, dogs are quite lovely in fact, but well... [Where was she going with this, she wasn't even sure River had a dog.] Mnn, well in any case! I hope you come by sometime soon, Miss River, then you, Marigold, and I can play!

[That makes her smile, laughing a little.] I'll come by soon, promise.

Actually, I'm going to be moving in with Miss Tardis and the Doctors, I thought, since we're room neighbors I would tell you. You can come and visit me there.

[littlesoul]

[She smiles wide.] Oh! Sounds wonderful. I hope you enjoy yourself.

[madcuriosity]

I will visit you too. So you aren't lonely, Miss River.

[littlesoul]

[She nods.] And I'll find you. Make sure you're okay.

Well, it will be very easy to find me, when I'm at home. I live in the Thor district and our house is very big with a bright blue door! You can visit me whenever you want, Miss River. I know the Doctors will love to see you too.

[littlesoul]

[She's trying not to show it but she's tensing a little every time Alice says 'Doctors'. She wants to visit, wants to see the girl and make sure she's all right, but doctors scare her. She has yet to hear that the Doctor is a different sort, as she has yet to be introduced to any of them by name.] I will, I promise. Come and visit and we'll play. Do all sorts of fun things.

And you can meet those I live with! Like Miss Tardis, and the Roman, and the Doctors, and all the others. Actually, Miss River, I haven't met them either yet.

[littlesoul]

Meet all of them, everyone. [She grins, a little, though it's shaky.]

... Miss River? Is something wrong?

{She finds the words hard to say, frozen between her tongue and her teeth. She settles on just shaking her head, pushing forth a reassuring smile.]
