Ah, I guess you didn't- Since Sandy can't talk, he uses drawings to communicate. In our world he would just use his sand kinda like the people with Drawing Life do, but here we don't have our powers soooo- pencil and paper it is.

Oh! He only showed me his name. After that he tried to communicate through gestures.

I didn't really get all of them, though... But hopefully it will be easier now that things have settled down!

He just needs to get used to the lack of sand. It's a bit hard for us to lose what that part of us... but soon you'll be having lots of conversations with him, you'll see. For a mute guy, he has lots to say.

I was ten when I came here, but that was in the winter... And then the winter came again, and this is the second summer now, so I guess I'd be eleven or so? Maybe even twelve...

Winter, huh? You arrived at the best time of the year. [The fact she's counting winters makes him smile like an idiot.] Really? It's the other way for me - I feel like I've been here forever. There's always something going on around here.

I guess it's just because seasons seem to pass by so quickly! But at the same time, a lot has happened since us Travelers first got here. It's been very busy!

I guess that makes sense in your case. It's still kind weird for me, you know? Ten years are usually a blink of the eye for me, so feeling I've been here for so long when it's only been some months it's... new.
