[video] i spy with my little eye

Citizens of Asgard. I come bearing only grave news this day. What I believe to be a spy, lurking in our very midst.

[ The camera pans over to a bound and gagged individual that some may in fact recognize from the tail end of the Utgard excursion. ]

He has aroused the suspicions of many with his peculiar behavior. The natives themselves have been able to confirm he is not one of them, as he has tried claiming.

Presently, he can be found in the custody of myself and Sir Gwaine. I wish to seek the council of everyone before we reach the city proper as it is a matter which undeniably concerns the safety of us all.

But as for myself, I would vote for execution to follow his questioning. I have seen firsthand what may happen with prisoners during war. They conspire to escape and wreak further havoc, squandering mercy and endangering good men.

(ooc: edited in-character to clarify.

don't forget about the poll going on. if you've already voted but your character's opinion has been swayed in this post then simply update your vote!)

That's not a very creative means to his end.

You could always find out what he was looking for and send him back as our spy.

He's not sick either, right? You could also use him to fight the sickness.

Interrogation will happen regardless of what we do with him afterwards. If he wanted to get information out of us, chances are he has information to give back.

After that, we have no further use for him. Whatsoever.

Even if it's to spread misinformation?

[Wow, Odin, wow. You will never be strategic in his mind. Ever.

Maybe he should go talk to Loki.]

Do you really think Thiazi is that stupid? She'd probably have him killed even if he gave the correct information. He will not be her only spy.

So it's a matter of who kills him?

What if he signed up to be the spy knowing that he could die? Killing him wouldn't create fear, but showing Thiazi's people that we can strip him of his loyalty and everything else he believes in would.

They do not fear you, child. Killing him will not incense them any more than they are by nature. Torturing him will not show them we are ruthless. Recycling will not convince them from their path, for theirs is the path to destruction. They don't care how they get there.

Then let's sit around and hang dead bodies from the gates while we wait for the end.

But from the sound of things, you're putting yourself into the obligation of listening to the uproar and keep him in a cell.

What will happen once all the natives are restored from the sickness? [Completely unrelated, but he might as well ask since his point seems to have been shut down.]

If that's what you want, that's what we'll do.

[ He doesn't like it, but it's not like he's King or anything crazy like that. ]

We don't know. We still don't understand the nature of the Sickness because it's like nothing else in Yggdrasil's history. Presumably, our powers will be restored, our people will fight in their war, and Ragnarok will see its conclusion.

[He was actually being sarcastic, but whatever.]

Your powers aren't complete or do you mean the natives'?

What are the natives' powers like? Not elemental, are they? [Considering how the Giants work...]

No. They're human; they don't even have the powers we give you, but with the Sickness, they can't even access our runes. Even those with colour still have the Sickness, as you can tell every time one of you is stupid enough to take your bracelet off.
