[Anyone who spends any time at all with Nepeta should have noticed her absence the past day or so. She'd been just about everywhere hunting for easter eggs for a while, skipping about with two great baskets, one on each arm, and apparently throwing herself completely into this fun new game.

And then she just didn't show up any more.

Until now.]

My Pounce! Look, look everybody! It's my Pounce! She found me again!

[The feed shows a delighted Nepeta and a great white double-mouthed cat purring loudly and nuzzling all over her charge.

Yes, this is indeed why the small kittytroll hasn't been around. She's been busy cuddling her lusus, and has been for a while judging by the white hair covering her hat and coat.]

Oh...oh, you're right. I didn't think about that. But they're sort of travellers too, aren't they? And they're helping us help the gods and they certainly make us happier in what we do every day, so wouldn't that put back even more colour into the world? We should ask someone about it.

I don't know! The ones in Freya and Freyr are bigger and a lot more luxurious, like a highblood's place would be I guess, and ours is plainer but still very nice. Equius was the one who checked out the other ones and he said the one in Hel would suit us best.

That may be, but aside from simply existing and living in Freya House, I have not been doing much to help the gods. It difficult to help someone when you do not trust them, or know their intentions.

[Kanaya is good with dangerous people. Vriska may have been dangerous, but Kanaya knew what she was going to do and what to trust her to and not to do. These gods are an enigma, and she can't take care of them like she did Vriska or Eridan.]

Hm. I don't suppose there are any dry, arid locations in Asgard, are there? Something like a desert?

But just living normally and having fun isn't such a bad thing to be doing, is it, Kanaya?

[Now she sounds unsure, though. Having been given a second chance not just for herself but for her moirail too, and a nice place to stay into the bargain, it's hard not to want to help out a bit.]

I haven't found anything like that yet. But we could go looking together?

I suppose...

It is simply that, despite the proportional difference between how long we were on Alternia and how long we were playing SGRUB, I am not sure if I can live "normally", for lack of a better word. At least not the definition of normal that humans seem to have.

But I think that finding a place that is like home would be a start. I am glad you are willing to help me.

I think I understand that...you were on the meteor a lot longer than I was too, weren't you?

For now don't worry about doing things normally, then. Just about making yourself comfortable and taking it from there. And yes, yes, of course I'll help!

Yes, actually. Quite a long time in comparison. It wasn't too terrible though, after the initial series of incidents that ended with Gamzee's quelling by Karkat. It simply wasn't ideal was all.

I am not very well-versed in being concerned about myself. Most of my concern is reserved for other individuals.

...would you like to stay with us for a little while, maybe, Kanaya? Until we find you a place more like home! You can help me fuss over Equius! [She may even let Kanaya brush her hair for her every day.]

[Oh. Oh no that's too cute and honestly too inviting. Kanaya was used to living alone back on Alternia, but being constantly in contact with her friends throughout the session makes it seem kind of lonely, despite being from a mostly solitary race. As if they fit into well in the first place.]

So long as both yourself and Equius approve of the arrangement, I see no reason I wouldn't stay with you. I think it could be a pleasant arrangement in the meantime.

[Her hair would be so soft. Like kittens!]

I do for sure! I'll have to ask Equius but I don't think he'll say no. When we thought about getting a hive of our own we were hoping to have one or two more friends to share it with in fact!

[Yesss. Then no one would be able to resist petting her. This is a cunning and brilliant master plan.]

Well, I am more than glad to be one of those friends. I can even help decorate, if you'll allow me to.

[Curtains, Nepeta. Tasteful curtains and wallpaper. And a maybe a ~*~coffee table~*~. Every decorator (and college student's) dream come true.]

Really really? That would be great! I've painted a couple of walls so far, but you've always had really nice taste, Kanaya. I'm sure you'd make it look lovely in a way that we'd all like it!

[Oh yes, excellent. Kanaya will also be saving the hive from becoming a multicolored jungle should Nepeta get her hands on the rest of it.]

When do you want to move in?

Well, I'll certainly try my best. Considering that I was the only one interested in fashion on our homeworld, I can only hope that is enough.

[Kanaya makes a few thoughtful humming noises, taking count of her possessions. There aren't many, admittedly.]

Is it possible that next week would work out in favor of both of our schedules?

Well, it's still a lot better than the rest of us!

[You know it's true, Kanaya. Most of the other trolls have negative fashion sense.]

That sounds good to me! We'll have time to tidy up for you and you'll have time to get all your things together.

[Kanaya nods, mostly to herself seeing a she isn't on video, and takes a quick glance around her god-given apartment. She didn't bring much with her but oh will she be borrowing some things.]

That sounds excellent. If you'd like to come over and help me pack, I wouldn't mind. Otherwise, I suppose I will see you in a week.

I suppaws it's just something most trolls aren't furry good at...but you make up for all of us put together, Kanaya!
