> Nepeta: REUNITE WITH YOUR LUSUS

[Anyone who spends any time at all with Nepeta should have noticed her absence the past day or so. She'd been just about everywhere hunting for easter eggs for a while, skipping about with two great baskets, one on each arm, and apparently throwing herself completely into this fun new game.

And then she just didn't show up any more.

Until now.]

My Pounce! Look, look everybody! It's my Pounce! She found me again!

[The feed shows a delighted Nepeta and a great white double-mouthed cat purring loudly and nuzzling all over her charge.

Yes, this is indeed why the small kittytroll hasn't been around. She's been busy cuddling her lusus, and has been for a while judging by the white hair covering her hat and coat.]

Oh, oh, this is the best day efur!

Yes! Of course! I can, um, bring my lusus too? [She hesitates on the end, not sure how to travel with an egg but not willing to leave her behind.]

Of course you can! She'll be our guest of honour, oh yes.

[tongue3y3s]

[She laughs.] We can make her a little crown!

[bestestfurrend]

Oooh, yes! A cute teal one. I can do that!

And find shiny rocks to put on it, too!

[bestestfurrend]

I won't have time for shiny rocks if you're coming over now, Terezi!

[tongue3y3s]

Blarrrrrrrrr, Nepeta, I can pick some up on my way over! We'll add them together.

That should work!! Yes, we'll make it pretty for her together!

[tongue3y3s]

I will sniff out the prettiest rocks, hehehehe!

[She fusses around the block for a moment before leaving; carefully using the torn half of a bedsheet to create a sort of sling for her lusus, pillowing her and her makeshift nest against her chest. She'll have to find a better way to carry her, but in the meanwhile it'll do. She gathers her cane and sets off. (She wanted to bring her dragon plushies but without a better form of transport she wouldn't be able to carry them. Boo.)

A short time later Terezi arrives at Nep's new hive and raps a rhythmic knock at the door.]

[The door swings open, and Aurthour appears in the doorway, having already resumed his butler duties now that he's been reunited with his troll. He ushers them courteously inside to the sitting room, where Pounce and Nepeta seem to be so absorbed in a game of rolling each other over and over that neither of them had heard the knocking.]

[Normally Terezi would respond by leaping into the pile with them, but in the messy sling about her shoulder is held something more precious to her than anything else, so she cradles it gently and grins as she sniffs at the other troll and her newly-regained lusus.]

I hate to break up the party, but I have someone you ladies might be interested in meeting!

Terezi!!!

[In a moment or so - and with a great many excited squeals and purrs - Nepeta and Pounce have managed to disentangle themselves from each other and are rushing over to Terezi. They do, however, stop short of pouncing her, knowing what a precious cargo she comes bearing.]

Ohhh! Is this her?

Yes!

[Terezi sinks down onto her knees and carefully untangles the sling, resting the whole mess of fabric on her thighs as she slowly uncovers the egg, revealing it to the troll and her lusus.] She used to be huge, as big as a tree, but now she's all small. I never noticed her shell had spots before!

Even if she's not huge any more, she's still pretty big! That's a lovely egg, Terezi! Is she nice and comfy inside?

[Pounce lets out a questioning little purr, and Nepeta giggles before translating.]

Pounce wants to know if it's okay to lick her to say hello!

Eerrr, well I assume so! [Terezi sniffs thoughtfully at Pounce, then shrugs.] Pounce would know better than I would if that would her her or not, and I don't think saliva is lethal. So, okay!

If Pounce's saliva was lethal I don't think I'd be here. [She snickers at the thought. Pounce has been licking her and grooming her since the moment she chose her.

And she seems to take that as permission to go ahead and give the egg a friendly lick, lusus-to-lusus, introducing herself to her troll's friend's mama.]

[Warily, Terezi presses her fingers against the egg, then smiles absently and turns her nose toward Pounce.] Mom says hi.

[She then grins up at Nepeta and fishes something out of her pocket, holding up a small pouch.] I got rocks!

They're going to be the very bestest of friends, I know it!

Ooh, yay! I got part of it ready, we just need to stick the rocks on now! [She hurries to the side of the room and returns with a cardboard crown, painted a lovely teal.]

[When Terezi sniffs the crown experimentally, her face lights up.] It's beautiful, Nepeta! I'm sure mom will love it. [Delighted, she dumps the contents of the pouch onto the floor, revealing a collection of rocks of varying degrees of cleanliness and smoothness, some sparkly and some flecked with specks of colour. There's a marble, a plastic bead, and a bright blue bottlecap in there, as well.]

She's going to look really pretty in it! Especially once we're done decorating! I'll get the glue! [She dashes off, soon to return with a great big bottle of glue. This is going to be the best crown ever!]

[Delighted, purring, Terezi flops on the floor on her belly. She rubs her cheek against the egg and makes noises at Pounce until Nepeta comes back, and then she props her chin up on her palms and grins.]

Where should we start?
