two ☍ [voice]
[ As the bracelet slips onto Zelda's wrist and the color returns to her eyes, the gem bumps against her skin and activates the voice function. ]
--but I looked all ... huh? [ The half spoken sentence dies on her lips as Zelda's conscious mind returns with her color. ] Where am I? This isn't the Heimdall house.
[ A voice speaks up near Zelda, but too far away for the words to be distinguishable. She falls silent for a minute as she listens to the guard's explanation of what befell her. ]
I lost myself? [ Her tone is clearly puzzled. ] But I don't remember anything like that. The last thing I remember was going out to look for my bracelet. [ Another pause. ] Then, I've been lost for almost two weeks?! [ Panic rises sharply in Zelda's voice. ] Oh, Link and Impa must be so worried. I'd better contact them. Thank you very much for your help, sir!
[ She turns on heel and hurries toward home, lifting the bracelet as she walks. It's then that she notices that it's already transmitting. ] Oh, it was on the whole time. [ She clears her throat. ]
Link! Impa! I'm here now!

It's kind of hard to explain. [ She prefaced with a wave of a hand. ] When I lost my bracelet and went to go look for it, I... stopped being aware of things, I guess you could say. I think it was like sleepwalking. To be honest, I don't remember any of it, but a guard was nice enough to bring my bracelet to me and explain that. [ She offers a bit of a smile. ] As I understand it, the bracelets keep us from being like the gray people.
... I see. [He was vaguely afraid of something like that, but he didn't expect...] From the time you lost your bracelet until the time you came back to yourself, about two weeks passed?
Twelve days, if I counted right. And I'm sure it only lasted so long because I was hard to find. [ She offers him another smile. ] But don't worry! I bet it doesn't happen very often.
No, it doesn't seem to be something widespread, or we would have heard before now, I think. [He looks away.] But these bracelets are granted by the 'gods'. If at any point, they no longer have need of us...
[They haven't been able to ascertain what the ultimate outcome of this situation will be, either. He'll need to ask Nakama, later.]
No, no, gods and goddesses aren't like that at all! When we're done here, we'll get to go back to our homes!
You seem very certain, despite that not being a promise they have ever made to us.
No, I did not mean to imply that. But these 'gods' are not the gods of my world and I can't immediately trust their word, I'm afraid.
I'm sorry, but I'm not sure. [A little embarrassed at his lack of learning.] I would guess it's because the more powerful countries worship those gods, so everyone else ended up doing it too.
[After all, everyone emulates the powerful, no matter their opinion of them. At least, in his experience.]
[ And yet, at the same time, it's clear that she's intrigued-- her eyes are alight with interest when Allen speaks. ]
That seems strange. Did each of the gods of your world create different countries? [ She's not entirely certain she understands the concept of 'countries,' but she's read about them before. ]
Many of the older legends come from different countries, I think, but I don't know whether the country or the god would have come first. [Is that answer too incoherent...?] To me they are only stories, so...
The One God who is worshipped in my country, however, is said to have created all the land, sea and sky and the beings in them.
If your country only worships one god, does that mean he destroyed the others?
[ That seems like the only reason why those other gods would be ignored. ]
... Rather than a change in the realm of gods, I'd say it was a change between people. [He hesitates.] Sometimes it was the worshippers who were destroyed.
Some people just... don't believe in some of your world's gods? [ Her expression darkens. ] How horrible for those gods, to work so hard for their people, only to be forgotten or ignored.
Well... [He looks a little uncomfortable.] Does your 'world' not have false gods, milady?
