[Just an average afternoon in Asgard, and the feed video is tilted at an awkward angle to reveal a certain someone's room. That certain someone is Kuroneko, dressed in her usual black Lolita dress, her headband adorned by roses. You only see her back as she stares out the window, petting what seems to be a black furball.]

Soon, they will know of my--A-Alice, what are you--

[The black furball is indeed a cat, and it manages to scramble out of her arms and back to her bed. The cat that Yozora had left on her doorstep still never listened to her. Perhaps the cat didn't respond to what Kuroneko renamed her, but no matter. Kuroneko keeps going with her...game. She spreads her arms out wide, still facing out the window like a queen on a balcony.]

Huhuhu. Go forth, my minion, and gather your kin. All according to my plan. Once this first step is done, Asgard will kneel to our forces of despair!

Beep, beep. Beep, beep. Click.

[She grabs her cell phone from her pocket and speaks into it, even if there's no one on the other end.]

Yes? Is that so...My my, what a conundrum. We all knew the gods had wished to conspire against our plans in the first place. No matter, I'll take care of it. I have a most cunning plan, after all--[GASP] No way! They've recruited Shikkoku into their ranks? Well, well. This may turn out to be more interesting than I thought it would be. Our victory shall be all the more sweeter.

[She raises her free hand up, almost posing.]

Especially as I, Kuroneko, the Fallen Saint of Senyou, will use this bracelet to--

[Wait..she doesn't have the bracelet. Kuroneko starts to search frantically around the room, looking for that goddamn bracelet. Eventually, you see her surprised face close to the screen.]

A-ah...I...

...

D-don't you dare pay any attention to this!

[As quickly as she blurts that out, the feed suddenly clicks off.]

[Oh snap, that's the thing she's been buying tons of charms for!]

They don't exist in my world. I bought a bunch of charms for one in Utgard, I thought they were bracelets.

That seems like a pity. Most normal humans use a cell phone in my world for communication between themselves, but my case is special.

Normal humans can't talk to the things you talk to?

Of course not. As a being born from the shadow and not a real human, my capabilities far outweigh theirs.

Can your cell phone do more than the bracelets?

Yes and no. I don't have too many things on my phone. However, humans can do many things on their own cell phones, such as play games, check the weather, or go on the internet, which is a bit like the network.

Magic is a lot more exciting, however.

How can you check the weather on a cell phone??

There is usually some sort of forecast app on it.

It all is rather routine and boring, really.

[Seriously, this is so routine for Kuroneko that explaining things like cell phones feels so weird.]

[It's so advanced it just baffles her most of the time.]

Indeed.

It shouldn't be too much of an inconvenience once you get used to it. Magic tends to be harder to learn than technology developed to satisfy humans' inherent laziness and desire for entertainment.

You know, you're starting to sound like a Witch.

[She's internally "omg!!!"-ing at that. Does this mean her pretending wasn't just pretending after all? Really, to be acknowledged as witch-like from an actual witch. Fucking awesome. But hmm, would a real witch start to flail and grin like an idiot? Probably not.]

Humans are inherently inferior to Witches! So of course they'll be lazier and their technology won't be as good as our magic.

Ah, of course. Magic requries genuine skill to have, while anyone can learn to operate a human invention, and so easily, too.

It is so surprising to have someone understands what this feels like on the same level.

I have to admit, not many people here seem to get it, so it is really nice.
