[Scrolling along the streets of Asgard you’ll find a small boy is…committing acts of vandalism? Well he is certainly painting a weird circle shaped design on the wall of that build over there. The design is made up of bunch of symbols, it looks harmless though but who knows with the weird things this city throws at you.]

There that should be the last one. [He certainly looks pleased with himself as he finishes up his work. He closes a jar of weird looking black paint put it and his brush into a large rucksack. Just as he about to leave the design suddenly flashes white and then begins to glow going from white to blue to gold. Now this situation has gone from odd to freaky. Not that the kid is even paying any attention to this and he'll head off on his way if you don't stop him.]

What sort of limits do rune spells have in your world. Does the energy for them come from the earth or from the person casting the runes. What are the things in your world the runes are normally placed on? What the effects of destroying a active runes.

There are lots of different kinds of Runes. Each one grants a different kind of magic to the bearer. Most Runes are just sold in shops, but there is also a legend about the 27 True Runes that control the forces of the universe. They're the closest thing my world has to gods - they have a will of their own, and usually choose their own bearer. They grant great power and make the bearer immortal, but they're very dangerous to use, and can easily overwhelm someone with a weak will.

Hmmm that actually sounds closer to something in my world then the runes here.

[He wasn't really disappointed by that fact.]

How do they work where you're from?

We don't exactly have runes back home. Magic is accessible in to ways people can use magic naturally and those that use magical tools. All magic tools have special circle marks on them like runes.

What I think is sort of similar to your True runes are Djinn. They are beings of immense magic power. Those that gain access to them and master them can wield their powers to do amazing things even take down armies single handily. In fact having one is a sign that person can become a king.

That does sound similar. In the country I'm from, the Sun Rune is the symbol of power of the royal house. It will only respond to the wishes of the true ruler of Falena.

Really, I guess they are quite similar. So the rightful ruler of your country has to have all the right quality's to rule properly to use the rune's power.

[That sounds a bit better then Djinn, since he's met some really off dungeon capturers before.]

Well... almost. The Rune will obey whoever sits upon the throne of Falena. It doesn't seem to entirely matter how they got there.

...Then is like djinn then, you see to get a djinn one must capture or complete a dungeon first. Dungeon is a maze filled with traps and monsters at the center is the were vast riches and the djinn itself lives.

They appear all of the world, anyone can challenge a dungeon though only one can clear it. There's a chance anyone can get to complete the dungeon and get all the treasures it holds... [He trails off when he thinks about it.]

It all sounds very dangerous.

It is dangerous but a lot of people are willing to go through the task of completing one, for fame, money, power or just for the adventure.

Greed is a powerful motivator.

No, it really does depend on the person and what they seek to do. Some for good reasons, some for bad reasons and others for reasons that would only make sense to them.

There is actually one of those capturers here, her name is Princess Hakuei. She is very kind and understanding with a strong sense of justice. She certainly didn't capture Paimon out of greed.

That's good to know. I suppose everyone is different.

My guild and I are working on waking up all the ambient magic in the city.

These runes are for storing and channeling magic, and the places I'm put the runes on have are the most magical concentrated areas in the city.
