Teasure 014 ❊ ACTION anywhere on the city streets.

[Scrolling along the streets of Asgard you’ll find a small boy is…committing acts of vandalism? Well he is certainly painting a weird circle shaped design on the wall of that build over there. The design is made up of bunch of symbols, it looks harmless though but who knows with the weird things this city throws at you.]

There that should be the last one. [He certainly looks pleased with himself as he finishes up his work. He closes a jar of weird looking black paint put it and his brush into a large rucksack. Just as he about to leave the design suddenly flashes white and then begins to glow going from white to blue to gold. Now this situation has gone from odd to freaky. Not that the kid is even paying any attention to this and he'll head off on his way if you don't stop him.]

((OOC: If you want to figure out what going on you can catch Aladdin in the act anytime throughout most of the city. ))

Haaaaah? Painting magic circles?

[Hibiki is nearby, jar in hands and baby Cyndaquil on head.]

Ah- Aladdin-san! Did you already finish painting all the circles in this district...?

Hi Ms. Beatrice! I certainly am, this is only a small part of a much bigger spell. [He points the the finished array.]

[Fayt happened to be walking by when he spotted the kid painting.... something on a wall. At first thought most would probably think 'grafitti', but it didn't look like it, either.

He pauses in step, watching curiously until the design flashes. Only then does he speak up.]

What are you doing?

I'm nowhere near done, I've only done about two counting this one. There a quite a few place to market in this just district alone.

[He gives the Cynadquil a curious glance.]

...Hey Hibiki, what's that creature on your head.

I can come and help out with the other ones if you'd like!

[At the last part, she turns her gaze upwards without quite moving her head. Don't want to tip the critter off of its perch after all!]

Him? He's a type of Pokemon called a Cyndaquil. He only recently hatched, so I'm keeping him with me wherever I go.

Hmm? [Aladdin glances up at the question.] Oh I'm just doing a little magic, mister. Don't worry!

Thanks Hibiki, hopefully I'll have even more help later. [It was a good idea to send out those packages. He'll probably need to make more paint later and make more maps.]

It's a Pokemon? That looks a lot different from the one I saw before.

[He glances at the circle that was just painted on the wall, taking note of the symbols, before looking back to the kid.]

I'm guessing that's not one of the abilities the gods gave us.

[Something seems to be stirring considering how many strange thought patterns have been popping up in the day. There's not many, but just enough to catch his attention with its spread and get him on the street. Something about a boy writing strange symbols? Symbols, symbols...

...Well, that was quick.

??? will watch from a side-street with his hood up for a moment before he approaches with a curious look.]

Hey, what're you up to?

Nope, it's not one of the powers the gods gave us. It's called Runic magic, it's a really different from those powers.

[Aladdin quickly turns to answer, he almost drops his paint jar on the ground. He probably should calm himself down a bit but he was excited.]...Whew

[???'s too busy already scanning over the runes to really help with the jar. Sorry, Aladdin. It doesn't seem recognizable to him, however.]

So that's rune magic.

[He's looking more closely at those symbols now. He'd had a feeling, but..] What are the symbols you painted for?

An array is sort of a written magic spell. Though this array is only a small part of an even bigger spell.

Those are the individual runes for this array. They're small parts used to make the spell and direct the magic.

It seems there are lots of different kinds! And this one will grow up to look much different, too.

[The Cyndaquil gives a yawn, plopping its head on Hibiki's. The little guy isn't all that energetic.]

[He's already taken out his map to give it a look over.]

Oh so it like a different name for animal. The one I saw was really big fluffy dragon.

[...That makes her pause.]

Big... fluffy dragon?

[She's only seen the dragons that attacked the city before, so it's hard to imagine any of them as particularly... fluffy.]

It didn't look like the ones that attacked the city, it was more of a cross between one and a chicken.

[It didn't make the thing any less intimidating.]

[Hang on, she's trying to...

...

Nnnnnnope she still has no idea what that'd look like.]

I... I can't imagine it.

Ummm...wait a bit. [He puts up the map and take up his flute. He begins to play a little ditty and small dragon thing appears.]

[Oh whoa, that's really neat!!]

You can make pictures with your flute, Aladdin-san-?

Yep, I don't really get a use it that often though. It works the same if I sing too.

[The only reason she's stopped to look is that they look so similar to ogham circles.]

What are you invoking, boy?
