1st Spoiler
[The form of a woman with a wild mane of blonde curls appears on the video feed. Unlike other new arrivals, she doesn’t seem to be panicking. Not in the least. After all her travels with the Doctor, this is just another adventure for her. A new world to explore. Regardless, she's remarkably calm and collected]
Right, somehow I've been transported to a sacred city called Asgard. Not sure what planet I'm on or even what time period. The maid didn't mention anything beyond the city and the district she sent me to. She did say Freya is my patron God.
[She frowns in thought, sliding a fingertip across her bottom lip]
Freya. That name rings a bell. Norse mythology if my memory serves me right, which it usually does. I'm not entirely sure what her story is though. I suppose I'll learn soon enough now that I'm here!
[She snaps out of her trance with a smile and a curt nod of her head]
Anyway, enough of my incessant rambling. I should introduce myself. I'm Professor River Song, archaeologist and occasional time traveler by trade.
[Her smile widens into a sly grin]
Actually, I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a man who calls himself the Doctor? He usually travels with a female companion. Thing is, he can have different faces and forms so I can't properly describe him.
Doctor, if you're here and you get this message, contact me immediately.

I live in a house in Odin district together with them, and someone from my future named Oswin. You don't happen to know of her?
[ He can't be sure if he's mentioned Oswin to River or if he's done that yet for her, but might as well check. ]
no subject
[Hint. Hint. HINT]
Oswin? Oh, you've told me about so many adventures it's hard to keep track sweetie.
no subject
[ Which means it doesn't have a good ending. ]
Did you know the Daleks have an Asylum?
no subject
[But the thought that the Daleks had a concept of insanity vs. sanity definitely seemed to bother her]
To be honest it doesn't make much sense. They see themselves as the ultimate race....

[ But, okay, enough of that. ]
Brilliant girl she is, Oswin. Absolutely brilliant.

[She stops just in front of the Welcome hall and glances at him]
So what were you saying before about not being able to stay very long?
no subject
The gods don't like people spending time in Welcome Halls that aren't their own House's. It'll get painful eventually.

[She locates her room soon enough and ushers him inside]
Right then. Shall we try holding hands? Bit tame, but....
[Have a flirtatious smile]
no subject
[ He steps further into the room and peers around for a moment before he turns to River, an eyebrow raised. ]
It's an as good start as any.
no subject
I'm not entirely sure how all this works.
[Shouldn't be too different from regeneration, should it? Then again she wasn't sure she should ask the Doctor that question]
What do you think about when you're healing someone?

[She closes her eyes for a few minutes, takes a deep breath, and tries to imagine energy flowing from her body into his.
Except nothing was happening]
Think we should move on to snogging now?
no subject
We do have to try something.
no subject
[She shifts backwards on the bed to make room for him and sits with her legs crossed, facing him with both of her hands outstretched]
I'm really trying here.
no subject
[ He moves onto the bed after her and - surprise! He'll actually kiss her first. Because he's curious if that'll work, mostly, but also because he just felt like it. ]
no subject
Her hands found hands again, but this time it was only their palms that touched as her eyes slid shut and she focused on pushing energy out of her body and into his. A startling amount transferred to the Doctor, enough to make her a bit light headed when she pulled back, her lips tingling]
Success!
no subject
Of course, this is a lot more literal, and it feels funny andm yes, tingly, but, wow, he can imagine that's very handy in battle. It's as if he would have slept for a few hours. ]
That's brilliant!
[ He just. Ruffles her hair. Her lovely, lovely hair. Oh, he's rather missed it. Missed her too, of course.
Suddenly he's feeling giddy. Interesting. ]
And? How do you feel?
no subject
Bit lightheaded and tingly, but not nearly as bad as -
[That time in Berlin when she'd poured all of her regenerative energy into him]
Never mind. Alright so I gave you some energy, now I need to practice learning how to take it back, yes?
no subject
Yes, I suppose you might as well do that too.
no subject
[Right. She's just going to lean in and surprise him with a swift kiss. Her hands coming up to grip his shoulders this time. It took her a bit longer to concentrate, mostly because she wanted to sit here and snog him for as long as possible, but eventually she found enough clarity to start to pull the energy she'd given him from his body. It was a reverse energy transfer, but even after it was finished she still kept her tingling lips pressed to his]
no subject
It'll do. ]
no subject
Mm, now that's better. Feeling less light headed this time around.
no subject
Good.
[ After a moment's pause, he leans in just slightly further to lean his forehead against hers, closing his eyes. This is... nice. ]
