[The form of a woman with a wild mane of blonde curls appears on the video feed. Unlike other new arrivals, she doesn’t seem to be panicking. Not in the least. After all her travels with the Doctor, this is just another adventure for her. A new world to explore. Regardless, she's remarkably calm and collected]

Right, somehow I've been transported to a sacred city called Asgard. Not sure what planet I'm on or even what time period. The maid didn't mention anything beyond the city and the district she sent me to. She did say Freya is my patron God. 

[She frowns in thought, sliding a fingertip across her bottom lip]

Freya. That name rings a bell. Norse mythology if my memory serves me right, which it usually does. I'm not entirely sure what her story is though. I suppose I'll learn soon enough now that I'm here!

[She snaps out of her trance with a smile and a curt nod of her head]

Anyway, enough of my incessant rambling.  I should introduce myself. I'm Professor River Song, archaeologist and occasional time traveler by trade.

[Her smile widens into a sly grin]

Actually, I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a man who calls himself the Doctor? He usually travels with a female companion. Thing is, he can have different faces and forms so I can't properly describe him.

[ River's never been a constant presence in the Doctor's life, but she's certainly been more constant in it than it's been lately, with him being stuck here. Which means he has rather missed her.

It is surprising isn't it signora, to be in one place and then suddenly find yourself in another. But, you are handling it all very well! Is that because of your 'time traveling'?

You could say that. I'm also very used to visiting new worlds as well, so this....it's not all that unusual for me.

Actually, I am acquainted with somebody who goes by the name 'Doc,' in my own world ... unfortunately, I haven't run into him in this world.

I'm an archaeologist by trade so I've done some dabbling in mythology. Although I have to admit I only know a few of the well known deity names such as Odin or Thor.

It sounds like you had quite an interesting life!

I'm afraid I'm don't know a whole lot about Norse mythology myself but I am familiar with Asgard and their gods in general.

[For a few moments River seems shocked by his image on the screen. It wasn't unlike the reaction she'd had when he'd showed up at Storm Cage just before the battle of Demon's run. The Doctor had told her that her parents were here, but seeing her father alive and well still seemed to be a shock to her system.

[ He does catch her surprise, brief as it is, but he doesn't quite understand it. This is the second time he's caught River Song by surprise, and it's just so odd to see. ]

Right, then. Um... [ No, this is very awkward. He still hasn't figured out how to take River being his daughter. Not that he's opposed to it, but it isn't as easy of an idea to settle into as a police box that's bigger on the inside than on the outside. ] How are you?

Depends on my mode of travel, but yes that's the idea. The Doctor and I have been on many adventures together through time and space.

[ He shuts his eyes, frowning a little because - dear god - why is he so socially awkward, before he remembers that this is a video and she can see him. Clearing his throat, he rearranges his features into a more polite expression. ]

He's-- He's here. Last time I checked he was living in the Odin district.

There are actually two versions of him here from what I've heard. I know the one that wears a bowtie.
