[The form of a woman with a wild mane of blonde curls appears on the video feed. Unlike other new arrivals, she doesn’t seem to be panicking. Not in the least. After all her travels with the Doctor, this is just another adventure for her. A new world to explore. Regardless, she's remarkably calm and collected]

Right, somehow I've been transported to a sacred city called Asgard. Not sure what planet I'm on or even what time period. The maid didn't mention anything beyond the city and the district she sent me to. She did say Freya is my patron God.

[She frowns in thought, sliding a fingertip across her bottom lip]

Freya. That name rings a bell. Norse mythology if my memory serves me right, which it usually does. I'm not entirely sure what her story is though. I suppose I'll learn soon enough now that I'm here!

[She snaps out of her trance with a smile and a curt nod of her head]

Anyway, enough of my incessant rambling. I should introduce myself. I'm Professor River Song, archaeologist and occasional time traveler by trade.

[Her smile widens into a sly grin]

Actually, I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a man who calls himself the Doctor? He usually travels with a female companion. Thing is, he can have different faces and forms so I can't properly describe him.

[ River's never been a constant presence in the Doctor's life, but she's certainly been more constant in it than it's been lately, with him being stuck here. Which means he has rather missed her.

And he's most certainly smiling. Genuinely. ]

River Song. The lady in gold.

[ He did decide he would see what she thinks of that, even if the River who inspired it isn't here anymore. Shame, that. They would probably have gotten along. ]

[She can't help the way her grin naturally widens and her face lights up at the mere sight of him. Even if the last time she'd seen him he'd been an emotional wreck.....]

[ Aw, no special reaction? Oh, well.

[But instead of arguing any further she takes out a familiar blue TARDIS journal. It was one of the few possessions other then her vortex manipulator and clothing that had been brought here with her]

Right then, you know the drill. Where are we now in your time line?

[ Fine. That argument never gets anywhere anyway. ]

Right after Demon's Run. You're probably from after that, judging by the hair. Are you?

A lot further along, yes.

[There was something in the way she said that. A twinge of sadness, perhaps? It was gone as swiftly as it came]

Demon's run then? Messy business that.... But then that means you're not quite as young as you look.

[And he know about her parents]

[ He does wonder what to do about that. If they should tell her. Who knows if she'll ever find out here, otherwise. ]

[She seemed startled by that notion. She shouldn't be, but after only just losing her parents, it was quite a shock to her system to know they were here]

Oh, I see. Amy's from an earlier point in time. Anyone else here I should know about?

[ No, he's not so sure she should be that startled, and he gives her a confused expression for a moment but... pretends to move on. Right then.

He'll have to figure that one out. ]

Oh, yes. My predecessor is here, the one with the suit and spiky hair.

[ He lifts a hand to wriggle his fingers behind his own head. ]

Not sure how they manage it, but they do.

[She hadn't met any version of the Doctor that matched that version, but the Doctor had given her some pictures of his earlier regenerations. It took her a few moments to locate the picture of Ten]

Oh! You mean your previous regeneration.

[Hold on a minute]

There are two of you here? That's impossible. Not to mention it's not even my birthday....

[Why yes, she's flirting]

[ Okay, she hasn't met that one yet. Still a decent while until... Yes. Then.

He'll happily flirt along, to distract himself from that thought. ]

Well, I haven't seen you in a while...

Interesting. How long have you been here? Because I could swear I just saw you moments before I woke up here.

How much does this younger version of you know about me? Because I have enough trouble guarding my spoilers from one of you. Two of you from two different points in time is going to complicate things.

Time travel, honey. It's not that strange. Doesn't usually happen exactly this way, true, but it's not very different.

[ A pause. He just needs a moment - not the best at keeping track of the days most of the time. Not without trying, that is. ]

It'd be one and a half month or so now. And I haven't told him anything, but he has met you. He was taken... right at the moment of regeneration, [ creates a mess, that, ] so he knows you well enough.

[Oh! One can communicate through these little bracelets. Might as well try out that feature now on the new arrival. Beyond just trying to be friendly she had said something very interesting to him.]

It is surprising isn't it signora, to be in one place and then suddenly find yourself in another. But, you are handling it all very well! Is that because of your 'time traveling'?

[She knew how he hated being stuck in one place for too long]

Well I don't know him just yet. Shall we just say I'm a future companion then? He doesn't really need to know anything else does he?

You could say that. I'm also very used to visiting new worlds as well, so this....it's not all that unusual for me.

[She didn't so much as bat an eye at his introduction. After all, she was rather used to meeting historic icons such as himself]

[ He's been keeping himself busy, somehow. ]

I'm pretty sure he's not going to fall for that one.

We don't need to tell him anything in particular.

Well how am I suppose to know how much he knows when I haven't properly met him yet?

[Sigh. The life of a time traveler's wife]

He'll have questions. You always have questions when you're younger.

I think I'll go for the spoilers route. It's served me well in the past.

I suppose the question remains, will any of us remember this place when or if we ever leave?
