[Kaworu comes to the screen with a kind and gentle smile.]

Hello. I'm looking for a piano or a violin. I'm not sure where I can find one; not to buy - I simply wish to play for a while.

[and now that is out of the way, he wishes to ask something else]

I do have another question. Are you happy?

And Lilim are? [he's assuming "human", since grieving is a decidedly human trait, but he also knows (a little too well) how easily it can be shared.]

That is strange, though. The concept, I mean. Doesn't that make you quite like insects? [which he actually means in a non-insulting way, by the sounds of things. but he'll take this little victory as a distraction in the meantime, handing the violin over from its case with a smile.]

Do you not fall under that spectrum yourself? Even wasps are capable of organizing their hives. [he sounds curious, but not too incredulous. running into a whole slew of weird people has prepared him for these bizzaro conversations to an extent.

That kind of stagnation... [his nose wrinkles in distaste but the rest of his expression remains neutral.

but there's no other question or comment from him. he simply inclines his head as if to say "carry on", moving over to perch on the edge of the piano bench.]
onceknighted: (tell me what you know about dreams)

[it takes all of one note for Charles to mentally place the song, and he sits back with a rare contented look for its duration. he has a certain fondness for all forms of fine art, music coming second only to the theater. when it's well played music, that's even better; a true reason to devote his full attention to the current performer.

once he's finished, he'll receive a polite but enthusiastic round of applause.]
That was refreshing to hear.

I'm glad you took the chance. [which is genuine sentiment, even if his goading had partially just been for fun.

when the violin is offered he takes it without pause, standing from his seat to get into a proper playing stance. after a moment of consideration, he begins to play the melody of Chopin's Nocturne in C# Minor N.20. how suitably melancholy and dramatic for the kid wearing a cape...]
