Aha, at least the gods didn't take his ability to play. ]

[it takes all of one note for Charles to mentally place the song, and he sits back with a rare contented look for its duration. he has a certain fondness for all forms of fine art, music coming second only to the theater. when it's well played music, that's even better; a true reason to devote his full attention to the current performer.

once he's finished, he'll receive a polite but enthusiastic round of applause.] That was refreshing to hear.

[ once he is done, Kaworu gently lowers the violin and watches Charles with a smile. He nods as to thank him for the applauses before he actually adds "Thank you" and comes closer] I haven't played in a while. I'm glad I had the chance.

I'm glad you took the chance. [which is genuine sentiment, even if his goading had partially just been for fun.

when the violin is offered he takes it without pause, standing from his seat to get into a proper playing stance. after a moment of consideration, he begins to play the melody of Chopin's Nocturne in C# Minor N.20. how suitably melancholy and dramatic for the kid wearing a cape...]
