[Someone made a post about Christmas just as she was waking up, and it inspired her. So her face appears, flushed and sweaty but smiling gently, and behind her is Heimdall's kitchen table absolutely loaded with food. It looks like it should be groaning under the weight.]

Hi, everyone, it's Nakama again. Somebody mentioned that it's the holidays, and I wanted to make sure everyone got a gift, so I thought I'd make breakfast. Since there are a lot of people who don't know how to cook or use the appliances, this is a chance to have a nice meal... at least, I hope it's nice... anyway, it doesn't matter what house you're in, you can feel free to come to Heimdall House and have some. I'll be making more to replace what's gone, so please eat your fill.

((ooc: this is a post for everyone who doesn't have much going over the holidays, but has had some tag slowdown because of all the hiatuses, but anyone can tag in at any time of course. [Naminé's quick to start a reply, although she's still having a little trouble processing all of that food, because there's just so much of it. It's more than she's ever seen at one time before.]

I think it looks nice...! Did you make all of that yourself, Nakama? [Because goodness, that must have been a herculean task.] There's so much of it.

[She laughs a little, bashfully.] I get up pretty early. And most breakfast food is pretty quick to cook, so it wasn't too much trouble. I just hope it's okay, I've never made so much before...

[She does want to come over, but she's not quite sure how to say it, so she laughs, also bashful, and says,] I guess I have to come see if it tastes as good as it looks, don't I?

[Once the video is off, she gets to work finishing off some bacon she had frying when she called everyone. She's got plates cooked soft and medium, and now she's got crunchy so that everyone can have bacon at their favourite texture. She lays out the plate, then soaks the pan so it'll be ready to cook something else if necessary. She'll be cleaning for the rest of the afternoon, but it's worth it.]

[Naminé leaves the house shortly afterward, bundled up as she's been taught. It takes her a while to find her way, though, since she's still not totally familiar with the numerous streets of the city, but she does make it eventually, a bit chilly from the walk but otherwise unharmed. There's a hesitation at the door, since she's not totally familiar with the customs involved in such a situation, then just ends up carefully opening the door and peeking in.]

[ This guy has no idea how to cook for himself. He has been exploring the vast realms of pb&j, cold cut sandwiches and on one occasion dabbling with the sophisticated grilled cheese sandwich.

He burned it.

He has no idea what holiday it is and maybe he should if he's thinking about eating food made for it but--he just wants to eat something that's not a sandwich. So it doesn't take long for him to make up his mind and stroll into the kitchen. ]

Thanks, Nakama. [ He can at least be polite before digging into something for a holiday he doesn't care about. ...But wait. ] ...Is everyone supposed to do gifts? [ Is he going to be obligated to do something for the whole house himself if he partakes 8|;;;; ]

No, no! [She smiles, waving off his concern.] It was just something I wanted to do for everyone. It's not about repaying, it's just about giving if you want to give.

[ Oh okay. He wouldn't have qualms about repaying Nakama but there are a lot of clowns in this whole place. Him included. He's not making nice because of a holiday. Speaking of which-- ]

It's called Christmas. It's a time when you get together with people you love, either your family or a special person, and exchange gifts and spend time together. You don't have it where you're from...?

[ He shrugs. ] Different worlds, different people. We've got something similar though. Maybe it's got something to do with the time of year...

[ Now, this is a hearty plate. Time to find a chair; he puts himself down pretty close to everything while there's still not too many people, though he's careful not to mess up Nakama's place settings.

[She grins and cuts the feed, then sets about making ready for him. The food's still fresh and warm, and there are clean plates left, so there's not too much to do - just get a glass down, since she assumes he'll want juice or milk, and set his place.]

[ Rika arrives at the front of the Heimdall House, bundled up in the warm clothing that her house provided her. It's nothing fancy, but it keeps her warm. She knows how to cook food on her own, but spending the holidays without her friends from Hinamizawa has completely turned her off from doing much. She doesn't need to do much either with so many other people doing the cooking!

She knocks on the door twice and opens it, stepping inside. ]

...I'm coming in.

[She turns around from the stove, where she's just finishing some fresh scrambled eggs, and her eyes widen at the sight of the tiny girl. How old is she...? She dumps them onto a plate, then hurries over to talk to her.]

- hi! What's your name?

My name is Rika. Furude Rika. [ She puts on a smile, recognizing the older girl from the video. ] And you said your name is Nakama, is that right?

Well... it's a nickname. My full name is Nakarai Mako. [Which explains the nickname, if you're quick enough to catch it.] But yeah, you can call me Nakama.

Which house are you from, Rika? [How far do I have to go to keep an eye on you?]

...Nakama. It's a pleasure to meet you in person. [ A polite bow of her head. ]

I'm staying at the Freya House. [ Well, it depends. She's usually roaming around the city more than staying at her assigned house. ]

Yeah, it's nice to meet you, too. [A shallow bow. What a polite young girl. And she'll keep Freya House in mind - anyone who doesn't already should know to keep an eye on Rika.

Then she runs to grab a plate from one of the place settings, handing it down to Rika and smiling welcomingly.] Please, help yourself to as much as you want. There's plenty to go around, and I can always make more.
