[ the bracelet hadn't been that hard for him to figure out - in fact it was a nifty little piece of technology, though there wasn't something quite like it where he came from. Of the options he figures voice is the best way to go for the very first one, if he's going to be broadcasting it, after all. No reason to show everyone his face right away.

He's leaning up against the side of Freya's welcome hall, arms somewhat crossed as he records the message. ]

So I see we have ourselves a little war going on. You know, this place isn't the only world with problems. Some of us were in the middle of doing something important. Enemies to vanquish, friends to rescue, stuff like that. But I guess that doesn't matter to certain parties.

Anyway, since we're stuck here, I guess I do have one question: where's the best ice cream in this dull place? I told a friend I owe him some.

.... [ It's definitely a reminder of what Sora told him--he was his own person, separate from him. And it's enough to make his insecurity a little more obvious--but also more hopeful. he knew he went back to Sora. he just...didn't know what had happened to Axel. Or hwo he'd felt about it--Lea became his Somebody again. So wouldn't he want...Roxas' Somebody too? ]

[He's whole again, but his memories are of Roxas, not Sora. He'd spent time with both of them, and perhaps more than anyone else he knows the differences between them. Sora couldn't possibly take Roxas' place for him - not as Axel OR Lea, and he doubts that to some others, Roxas couldn't replace Sora.]

Doesn't matter if it isn't you.

....I'm sorry. [ "For going back" doesn't feel quite right. But maybe...not being there for him? That seems a little more appropriate given the circumstances ]

[shakes his head. It's not like it was Roxas' fault. None of that was Roxas' fault. There isn't anything he could blame Roxas for - most of the blame laid with him.]

So. Four months, huh?

[ It's okay, they probably have silly jokes on them instead, meant for kids ]

About that, yeah... It went by fast.

Time flies when you're having fun?

[not that he expects it was all very fun.]

...It wasn't really the summer vacation I was hoping for. [ Roxas busies himself with his ice cream, expression downtrodden :c ]

[he's quiet for a moment, waiting for Roxas to come around. If he wants to tell him, he'll tell him. He does want to know what's happened, but at this point there's no reason to drag it out of him. Not yet, anyway.]

[ It's the perfect roundabout way of dealing with Roxas--he lets the silence continue until he feels is pressing on him so much that he can't stay quiet--he just...wants to talk to someone who'll understand. Not that Namine or his dataself--even Riku or Sora wouldn't, but there's that implicit sense of trust he has for the older (former) Nobody. ]

When I first arrived...I didn't remember anything. I thought I was just a normal kid in middle school. Then weird things started happening and I was worried I was losing my mind. No one else could see the things happening in Twilight Town but me. But Namine was there--she understood and tried to explain it to me.

It didn't make much sense at the time.

You couldn't remember what happened in the Organization.

["Or me," is somewhat implied there, but he remembers Roxas then. He'd gotten pretty desperate at the end...not that he thinks Roxas right now remembers that.]

What did you do?

I kind of stumbled through everything--then you arrived. I didn't know you were a Nobody at first. You or Namine--I didn't even know I was one. But eventually you told me and we...sort of got into a fight. We didn't talk for a while.

[he's not entirely surprised that, as Axel, that would've happened. He remembered how desperate he'd become, how in that desperation he'd lashed out. It's not one of his better personal qualities.]

What do you know now?

[faints]

I'm a Nobody and eventually...I go back to Sora. Twilight Town wasn't real and the memories I have right now aren't...my real ones either. For a long time I used to wonder if the only reason I thought I could feel anything at all was because of those memories. At least...that's what Namine thought might be happening.

[Watches Roxas closely, just listening. He remembers how confused Roxas was when he'd been trying to win him over after DiZ had put him into that false Twilight Town with false memories. It didn't work, just trying to bombard him with things he should know, things he should remember.]

What do you think now?

[faints]

I remember...a little. About the Organization I mean. It's not a lot and it's fuzzy a lot of the time, but I remember eating ice cream with you. And Wonderland.

[that makes him smile a little.]

...If you could get your memories back from that time...would you want to?

[faints]

[ he nods, immediately. ]

I don't want to forget anything ever again...good or bad.

[smiles, reaching over to fluff his hair again, fondly. He likes the conviction in Roxas, now.]

Your feelings...they're yours. Even if you think they're just memories. There's still something there.

[ See it's stuff like that that touches Roxas--between Access and Lea telling him they're his own? It means a ton to him and it's hard to hide it from his expression ]
