[ the bracelet hadn't been that hard for him to figure out - in fact it was a nifty little piece of technology, though there wasn't something quite like it where he came from. Of the options he figures voice is the best way to go for the very first one, if he's going to be broadcasting it, after all. No reason to show everyone his face right away.

He's leaning up against the side of Freya's welcome hall, arms somewhat crossed as he records the message. ]

So I see we have ourselves a little war going on. You know, this place isn't the only world with problems. Some of us were in the middle of doing something important. Enemies to vanquish, friends to rescue, stuff like that. But I guess that doesn't matter to certain parties.

Anyway, since we're stuck here, I guess I do have one question: where's the best ice cream in this dull place? I told a friend I owe him some.

[he's not entirely surprised that, as Axel, that would've happened. He remembered how desperate he'd become, how in that desperation he'd lashed out. It's not one of his better personal qualities.]

I'm a Nobody and eventually...I go back to Sora. Twilight Town wasn't real and the memories I have right now aren't...my real ones either. For a long time I used to wonder if the only reason I thought I could feel anything at all was because of those memories. At least...that's what Namine thought might be happening.

[Watches Roxas closely, just listening. He remembers how confused Roxas was when he'd been trying to win him over after DiZ had put him into that false Twilight Town with false memories. It didn't work, just trying to bombard him with things he should know, things he should remember.]

What do you think now?

[faints]

I remember...a little. About the Organization I mean. It's not a lot and it's fuzzy a lot of the time, but I remember eating ice cream with you. And Wonderland.

[that makes him smile a little.]

...If you could get your memories back from that time...would you want to?

[faints]

[ he nods, immediately. ]

I don't want to forget anything ever again...good or bad.

Good answer.

[smiles, reaching over to fluff his hair again, fondly. He likes the conviction in Roxas, now.]

Your feelings...they're yours. Even if you think they're just memories. There's still something there.

[faints]

[ See it's stuff like that that touches Roxas--between Access and Lea telling him they're his own? It means a ton to him and it's hard to hide it from his expression ]

[aowehgoiae oh Roxas when you look at him like that--!]

[just rests a hand on Roxas' shoulder, concerned now.]

What're you feeling right now?

[faints]

...A lot of things? [ It's the best he can come up with on the spot ] I just...hearing that. It means a lot. After everything especially.

Mm...[just waits patiently, letting Roxas process everything. He wants to take that sad look off his face, though.]

[faints]

I really...wasn't sure of myself for a long time. I was worried that nothing I'd ever thought I felt was real. That if I remembered anything about my past it'd all go away. [ That's his biggest fear--to be a real Nobody. Empty inside. ]

[tenacityformed]

You're you. [says it quietly.] With or without those memories, you're still you, Roxas.

[faints]

I know. [ He's heard it from a lot of people but that doesn't make it's effect any less deep for him. His chest aches with both grief and happiness as he looks down at his feet--blinking when he notices the wetness running down his face. Oh gosh he's not--augh, he is!

Quickly Roxas draws an arm across his face to wipe it dry. ]

[Oh no - Roxas' happy and sad faces get him every time, but tears are another story. For a few moments he just lets him be, but finally he really just can't not do something, so he reaches over and just tugs Roxas closer (without making them both tumble off the roof) into a tight hug.]

[faints]

[ For a second, he's surprised. The embrace wasn't expected or anticipated, but by the time he's processed it he's already got his hands balled into fists in the material of Lea's clothes so he just...gives in, like Access had to him before. He buries his face in the other's coat and sniffs, trying not to cry any further ]

I've got you.

[mumbles it against Roxas' hair, just holding onto him tightly until Roxas has settled again. The fact that Roxas can cry...that more than anything is what should be undeniable proof that he could have his own heart, and not just have to return to Sora.]

I just wanted to be normal like everybody else...

There's nothing wrong with you.

But I can't--I can't fight like Sora or Riku or Ven can. I can't even protect people I care about.

Said you were training, right? You're trying, you want to. That's what matters.

[although if he could have those past memories back, he'd probably be able to take on...anyone.]

Besides...s'like you've got Keyblade wielding in your blood. You're a natural at protecting people.

[faints]

....Not here. I wasn't able to do a single thing. [ he got to watch his former girlfriend die in his arms. That....was more than a little scarring, and he presses his forehead harder against Lea's coat. ]

Roxas...

[hugs him a little tighter, just for a second before running one hand over his hair and down his back.]

We'll find a way, okay?

[truthfully he's a little concerned himself. Fighting with chakrams was one thing, a sword or keyblade? Quite another, despite the training he's gone through himself. The chakrams didn't quite make it with him from home, either, so he's also a bit at a loss for how he's going to be able to protect anyone...especially Roxas.]

[faints]

...Partners? [ He doesn't look up when he asks, but he more than accepts the comforting gesture; even leans against his hand a little to show he appreciates it. ]

[tenacityformed]

[gives a soft, affectionate laugh.]

'course. Partners.

[pulls back just a little, just enough to help rub away some of the tears from Roxas' face.]
