I noticed a few new faces showing up on the bracelet and that and Sakura-chan's question made me think maybe it was time to put these out there again. Sorry for the long-timers -- I'll try and keep this short so there's as little repetition as possible! Info on Asgard. Sam-san's guide to the Gods and Powers. Edmund-kun's summary of the situation here. My own guide -- more detail than Edmund-kun's but it's incomplete! We're working on a compilation of all three guides to make things easier, but for the moment you'll have to make do! That's when volunteers from each of the houses gather so you can ask questions and practice using your power with people who kind of know what they're doing. By the way, I'm one of the volunteers for Hel, so feel free to ask questions about Body Control. Help Wanted! - Making / Stocking Emergency Kits! We have two emergency kits for each Welcome Hall, and are gathering supplies to make more. The kits are free to anyone to use in an emergency situation and currently contain basic first aid supplies, canned food, torches, candles and space blankets. Seth-niichan and I are managing this project. We welcome donations of canned or packet food, cash or time, especially if you're someone with the power of drawing life! - Volunteers with Healing Magic / Power Transfer / Damage Drain are always welcomed at the Hospital in Sigyn! Incidentally, the hospital blood bank is now available to Travellers who need blood to survive. [ and as promised, velige arrives... a bit later. approximately two hours later. because he figures that you need the time to pull yourselves together-- and if nothing else, you did say you weren't hungry yet. and food is best when hot.

finding the address easily enough, he balances his bundle while giving the door three sharp knocks. ]

[Conan answers the door promptly.] Loewe-kun. You made it.

[ prompt is good. he doesn't even bat an eyelash before he nods, raising the bundle as his means of explanation. he'll take a moment to scrutinize you, though. ]

Delivery.

Come on in.

[Conan steps back to allow Loewe to enter, waving him into the house. The company is more welcome than he expected -- John's been dragged off for a few drinks by his counterpart, and the house is even quieter without them.]

It's not much, but it suits us.

[ he enters with a polite nod, and peers around as he takes off his shoes. the first thing he notices is how quiet the house is. ]

It does. [ -- an honest opinion. he lowers the bundle a little to draw attention to it. ] Where should I put this?

Come on into the kitchen.

[Conan leads the way down the hall into the kitchen. The living room and study doors are open, and Loewe can glance inside as they pass. Comfortable rooms, very book focused, but there are big gaps in the shelves, Sherlock's possessions having vanished with him.

The kitchen is a relief, the room where Sherlock had the least influence. It is modern and clean, shiny appliances with a homey table in the middle of it. There has been tea drunk recently, and Conan picks up the pot and glasses to transfer them to the bench.]

On the table.

Do you want tea?

[ he notes the missing gaps in the bookcases-- evidence of a passing, he guesses. he hadn't known that a person's belongings disappeared with the person, but what he's seeing around this house seems to point towards that direction. in the kitchen, he watches conan pick up the pot, before he sets down the bundle on the table. ]

Sure.

[ and going back to an earlier conversation-- ] Thought you couldn't reach the counter.

I can reach it to put things on it, but I can't see it.

[Case in point, to make tea Conan's got to drag a stool that some kind soul (John) thoughtfully provided (John) over to the oven, remove the jug and then drag the stool to the sink. There's a feisty set to his shoulder's throughout this process -- you'd better not think of offering to help, Loewe.]

[ in all honesty, he'd been considering it (because that's just what he... does...) when he notices the set of the little boss's shoulders.

quietly, he decides holding off helping until next time. instead, he makes to unwrap the bundle, setting out the various lunchboxes that he made. ]

What kind of tea? [ are you making... ]

John-san only buys English breakfast. [The jug is heating away, and Conan fishes for a teabag from what is clearly the designated teabag jar -- for all his disparagement, someone in the household takes tea seriously.] Do you have it with milk and sugar or without? And if you want to heat anything, the microwaves there.

Pass.

[ no milk, no sugar. he usually takes his tea black, but it's not like he's picky. he tests a lunchbox. ]

Food's still warm. Utensils?

[Conan nods. The teapot is given a quick rinse out and dried, and he adds three teabags -- one for each of them and another for the pot, as he's learnt from observing John.]

The drawer behind you -- just there.

[It's actually nice this -- company without being challenged. Conan'd tire if this mundane chat was all they had, but for once ... it's nice not to think to just be.]

[ he turns to take a look at the drawer when the little boss points it out. with a nod, he quietly goes to sift out the cutlery-- knives, forks. he thinks about getting out a spoon, but decides, in the end, that that might be a little too kiddy. which is a funny thought, considering the other kid in the room looks seven.

he's never really thought of the little boss as seven, though. setting the cutlery in place! three places. ]

When's he comin' back?

I'm not sure -- not for a while. John's counterpart patted me on the head, gave me a silver rune and told me to run along, so I'm assuming they're eating out.

[ ... probably went out drinking, then. he re-wraps one lunch box and puts it back in its warmer. if the guy doesn't get back before they finish, he'll commandeer their fridge. ]

Should probably prepare stuff to treat a hangover.

[Treat a hangover? Isn't it more fun to point and laugh the next day?]

Like what?

[ not if they throw up all over your carpet. ~~the bastards. carpet cleaning is expensive.~~ ]

Y'don't know? [ honest question-- ]

The one time I was hungover, I had to go to school same as any other day. I felt rotten.

And that wasn't on purpose, either. Hattori-niichan told us it was a cough medicine.

[Hattori-niichan didn't tell you to drink the whole damn bottle after you figured out it was alcoholic Conan but that is a minor detail of course -- oh, the jug is boiling. Better get that.]

[ ... you know, he's actually entirely not surprised that you've drunken alcohol before, conan. he just... isn't. a thoughtful nod. ]

You jam an electrode into your port and run a biorhythm attributor. [ pause. wait. ] But 'm guessin' that's not how it works here. An older remedy... No coffee. Drink lots of water, juice, pills for vitamin b.

[There is a refreshing lack of judgement, shock or indeed scolding going on. Conan kind of likes it.]

Because vitamin B regulates water? That makes sense ...

[Making tea.]

Juice for the vitamin C. [ nodding--

oh, this is important. ] No painkillers.

No painkillers?

[So Agasa was doing him a favour denying them? Interesting.]

None. Makes it worse.

[ kind of wishes he could tell you why-- but it's in a part of his database that he can't access. he's never had to explain before. ] Took some during that time?

[ did you take any back when you had that hangover? ]

Nope -- couldn't really explain why I felt bad, so I got to sit out of P.E. and I was allowed to lie down in the nurse's room for lunch but apart from that it was school as usual.

... couldn't stay home?
