I noticed a few new faces showing up on the bracelet and that and Sakura-chan's question made me think maybe it was time to put these out there again. Sorry for the long-timers -- I'll try and keep this short so there's as little repetition as possible! Info on Asgard. Sam-san's guide to the Gods and Powers. Edmund-kun's summary of the situation here. My own guide -- more detail than Edmund-kun's but it's incomplete! We're working on a compilation of all three guides to make things easier, but for the moment you'll have to make do! By the way, I'm one of the volunteers for Hel, so feel free to ask questions about Body Control. Help Wanted! - Making / Stocking Emergency Kits! We have two emergency kits for each Welcome Hall, and are gathering supplies to make more. The kits are free to anyone to use in an emergency situation and currently contain basic first aid supplies, canned food, torches, candles and space blankets. Seth-niichan and I are managing this project. We welcome donations of canned or packet food, cash or time, especially if you're someone with the power of drawing life! - Volunteers with Healing Magic / Power Transfer / Damage Drain are always welcomed at the Hospital in Sigyn! Incidentally, the hospital blood bank is now available to Travellers who need blood to survive. The one time I was hungover, I had to go to school same as any other day. I felt rotten.

And that wasn't on purpose, either. Hattori-niichan told us it was a cough medicine.

[Hattori-niichan didn't tell you to drink the whole damn bottle after you figured out it was alcoholic Conan but that is a minor detail of course -- oh, the jug is boiling. Better get that.]

[ ... you know, he's actually entirely not surprised that you've drunken alcohol before, conan. he just... isn't. a thoughtful nod. ]

You jam an electrode into your port and run a biorhythm attributor. [ pause. wait. ] But 'm guessin' that's not how it works here. An older remedy... No coffee. Drink lots of water, juice, pills for vitamin b.

[There is a refreshing lack of judgement, shock or indeed scolding going on. Conan kind of likes it.]

Because vitamin B regulates water? That makes sense ...

[Making tea.]

oh, this is important. ] No painkillers.

[So Agasa was doing him a favour denying them? Interesting.]

None. Makes it worse.

[ kind of wishes he could tell you why-- but it's in a part of his database that he can't access. he's never had to explain before. ] Took some during that time?

[ did you take any back when you had that hangover? ]

Nope -- couldn't really explain why I felt bad, so I got to sit out of P.E. and I was allowed to lie down in the nurse's room for lunch but apart from that it was school as usual.

... couldn't stay home?

Wasn't allowed.

[The tea's about ready. Conan takes the teabags out of the pot, then carries pot to table. Mugs follow.]

[ ... so it is. a nod. ] Thanks.

[ he'll pour the tea for himself-- and then pour a cup for the little boss, out of sheer habit alone. ]

[Conan has to drag the chair back to the table before he can sit on it, so he's quite pleased to find a cup of tea waiting for him when he does. He wraps his hands around the cup, wondering if he should say 'thank you' -- he appreciates the gesture but always to be on best behaviour doesn't make someone feel comfortable, does it?]

So ...

Did I miss anything at the department?

[ as conan settles in, he discreetly shuffles the food a little closer, combined with the utensils. it's within easy reach if you want it, little boss. ]

Preliminary filing nearly done. Jar filled up a little. [ pause. ] Other intern walked into a wall.

[Oh, Henrik. When will you learn.] Haagen? Do you think she's realised?

[Food. Huh. Conan didn't think he was hungry, but now that he's noticed the lunch box, he's interested. Considering the lunch box.]

[ have a look, conan, that clearly wonders how is he supposed to know... he's kind of an abysmal failure at reading women, okay. ] He walked out of the office alive today, so... probably not, no.

[Conan absent-mindedly pulls the lunch box over to himself.]

That's going to be a problem. I mean, focused as Haagen is, he's not subtle. She's going to notice eventually.

[ within is a well-balanced meal! what it actually contains is up to your imagination, but it's bound to be well-prepared and well-presented. cooking is maybe his only real hobby, so. ]

Plannin' on doin' something about it?

[Conan is enjoying his meal without even realising it.]

I'm going to assign him to Detective Beckett's interview team. Get him out of the office -- and maybe talk to him about focus. If that's not enough ...

[Blink.]

Loewe-kun's a good cook!

[ ... he kind of wonders how well that guy would take to getting advice about focus from someone who looks like they're seven, competency levels notwithstanding. but conan's later comment makes him blink. ]

... ah, yeah. [ ... bluntly... ] Never really asked you what you liked to eat. Glad it's okay, though.

More than okay! Who taught you how to make this?

No-one. Trial and error. [ unpacking his own lunch box... ]

[No one? That opened up a lot of possibilities -- and in the empty house, it didn't seem right to ask.]

No wonder Loewe-kun's so scornful of the hospital cafeteria.

It ain't bad, but it ain't real cooking. [ strong opinions on the topic, man. he'll take a bite of his own food. ]

Ah. But then a cafeteria'll never compete with home cooking.

It could. But it'd probably be too expensive to maintain.

Ah. Still they don't do badly -- it's not so different from school lunch in Tokyo!
