I'm not really sure I follow though? You said spending time with alone someone you care about is a date. So how does being family change the rules?

Going on a date with someone means that you want them to be a big part of your life, I guess.

I don't spend all my time with them. And...maybe I'd like for them to be a bigger part of my life?

[It might have been a misunderstanding on his side, but she definitely didn't seem like that kind of person. Maybe he was just being stupid again. Although that wouldn't be surprising for someone like himself who's so socially awkward with regular conversations.

Was she really a ruffian? Shu wasn't really sure which was which anymore. Giving both options equal weight. Therefore making it impossible to decide.]

Rapunzel is a good person, sure. Compassionate by the very nature of who she is. But there's nothing remotely nice about it. Not in her mind. She's usually thoughtless with her empathy rather than deliberate or purposeful. And if ever there was a kindness that could be cruel in how blasé it is, it would be hers.

But what does she know? Everything about interacting with people, everything about the real world, everything about feeling things this deeply - it's confusing and frustrating and just plain hard to understand on her own. So she shrugs with a frown and shakes her head. ] I don't know. I care about my Mother. And Pascal. And... I don't have any reason not to care about other people.

Let's put it this way. If I ran away or got hurt the people who cared about me would worry. There'd be trouble and I don't want them to go through that.

In a way, I care for them too. We have different ways of showing it.

So you don't want to cause trouble. You don't want them to think of you as...a burden.

Is that really the same as caring for people?
