I know this is a pointless question, but I was wondering if anyone had magic in their world that's casted by singing? Well - singing and thought, but it's the singing that's important! And I don't mean just speaking normally, that's stupid and barbaric. I mean actual melodies that create magic.

[She's still skeptical about Rapunzel's idea, but it couldn't hurt. Besides, it would be kind of interesting if other nonhumans could cast magic in that way.]

There's something else too, and this is really important! Does anyone know the meaning of receiving a glass shoe? It's a high heel and it looks expensive, but I only got one.... Not very practical, right? [She sounds a little unsure since she thinks she has a vague idea, but she's still very confused.] But I'd still really appreciate any help with this!

... Oh, and does anyone know what 'heaven' is?

How about using musical instruments for what one would call "magic"?

That's definitely not the same thing, since any old person could just inscribe some runes on an instrument and use the magic.

But regardless! Can you do that?

That's hardly the case in every word. You need to be able to draw it out; it is always a combination of the time, the place, the item and the player.

Looks like you've already been told about the Cinderella story. That leaves heaven -- it's a religious concept, a place where no suffering or worry exists and people live in eternal happiness with the god or gods of their religion. It's a reward for living a good life believing in the precepts of your religion, I guess.

The Hymn of Creation. That is what we call it. I wouldn't describe it as thought, mind you, the hymn is born out of instinct and music of the heart. Every verse is different, but no less powerful than the other.

There are runes, magic arrays and more, but even they need the Hymn to be brought to life.

Magic by singing? I never seen it before, but it's not unheard of. I read some books about it.

... also I don't know if it counts as singing, but when I had my abilities, there was one where I could cause damage to enemies by using a mixture of sounds. It sort of forms a beat like music.
