[Audio today! She has no reason to use video, unless someone really wants a look at the glass slipper she received at the Lux opening.]

I know this is a pointless question, but I was wondering if anyone had magic in their world that's casted by singing? Well - singing and thought, but it's the singing that's important! And I don't mean just speaking normally, that's stupid and barbaric. I mean actual melodies that create magic.

[She's still skeptical about Rapunzel's idea, but it couldn't hurt. Besides, it would be kind of interesting if other nonhumans could cast magic in that way.]

There's something else too, and this is really important! Does anyone know the meaning of receiving a glass shoe? It's a high heel and it looks expensive, but I only got one.... Not very practical, right? [She sounds a little unsure since she thinks she has a vague idea, but she's still very confused.] But I'd still really appreciate any help with this!

... Oh, and does anyone know what 'heaven' is?

Grimm? Were they really gloomy? [... Okay, stupid joke.]

Oh - uh, no. [She sounds more than a little awkward.] It was an anonymous gift.

It was their surname. Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm. [His expression takes on a certain wryness.] Let's just say the names matched the tales they wrote.

To the point, the glass slipper was what allowed Cinderella to marry the prince. If that helps.

[She's mildly amused.] Sounds like you know your fairy tales, kid.

Another kid said something about the prince looking for the owner of the shoe.

[Kid. Kid. That smarts, but isn't unexpected. Edmund simply sighs and carries on without bothering to correct her.]

Well the story goes: Cinderella and the prince fell in love at the ball, she lost her glass slipper there when she fled, and that was how he found her later.

[So there are romantic undertones to the whole thing. She knew it.]

So, uh, there was no anonymity involved in the original story?

The prince didn't know who she was--er, hence the sisters trying on the shoe. [A pause.] It's made of gold in the Grimm's compilation, but it's made of glass in other variations of the fairy tale. Anyway, I can't think of any other story with a glass slipper.

If someone's given one to you, it must be a message.

[She's jumping to the defensive, because it's mildly embarrassing she missed out on the second half the message - the meeting at midnight - because she got too drunk to remember.]

- A stupid message! This whole thing is ridiculous, anyway! An act like this isn't effective when I have to go hunting people down just to figure out what it means!

[Once, a very, very long time ago, he would have jeered in response. Now, he simply chuckles, and replies in a dry tone.]

The sender must have thought it would be romantic or something of the like. By jove! [There's definitely amusement in his expression now.] He likely didn't expect you to react this way.

Any clue who it is? It must be someone you know already.

[She'd be snapping a lot more if he wasn't a kid, but as it is she just huffs.]

If I knew who was doing this I'd be telling them off right now! Gestures are fine, but at least make sure the person you're being romantic towards will understand it!

And if I ever find out who's doing this I'm beating the shit out of them for staying anonymous. That's just unacceptable.

Oh that shouldn't be necessary. [Even if he does think it's sort of maudlin, Lu and Su would have been all over it. Edmund's sure other people would be, too.]

Whoever did it had good intentions. A harmless gift shouldn't warrant a punishment like that.

This is hardly harmless. [She makes another irritated noise.] You'll understand when you're older.

[Really, this whole appearance is becoming a bit of a hassle.]

[From what he's heard, magic isn't so uncommon for the others, so it's worth a try. Saying this in good ol' England would have earned him more than the passing side glance.]

[Fortunately, Euri doesn't dismiss the notion immediately. Because while magic that can alter one's appearance is rare and difficult to learn, it's definitely not impossible in her world. An accomplished Witch could learn it, and to a lesser extent a human.]

... You're serious?

Yes. I know it sounds unlikely, but it's true.

My siblings are like this, too.

[It seems like a really bizarre thing to lie about....]

How did that happen?? Are you human?

It's due to magic. My siblings and I were brought to another world about a year ago, and stayed there for fifteen years. When we got home we looked like our younger selves again.

It isn't so different from what we're faced with now.

I see. [He's right, it isn't much different than here.]

It must be annoying to be that age and still look like a little kid.

It isn't an issue when we're in Narnia, but it's a hassle when we're in England.

I only hope we won't be staying that long here.

You might be out of luck. Some of us have been here for months.
