I've taken the liberty of browsing some of the messages already posted, of course, but that hardly beats the convenience of having it all rephrased yet again for me, doesn't it?

The term "Ragnarok" has come to mean a number of things over the centuries. A selfish man thought it would be the dawn of a new era of peace at the expense of personal freedom and expression. Of course, he wasn't looking at it in those terms, but that's what the result would have been.

Tell me, are our actions here meant to preserve this world from a literal twilight of the gods, a figurative one, or something else?

They have stated themselves that they differ greatly from the ones that we know. Whether that is true or not... I have not been able to ascertain as of yet. I have noticed some differences, but they largely remain true to what I know.

I am a new arrival myself, but other residents have compiled information about this world, and I have done some reconnaissance on my own as well.

How can Ragnarok be anything other than the end of the gods? We already know what's going to happen, the question is can it be stopped? That's the problem with seeing the future though... you see it and try and prevent it and then you might just cause it.... Paranoia and the attempt to stop it just provokes the situation....

Why did you change Odin?

From what Freyr has seen of this place this is hardly Ragnarok. Freyr would rather lose all the color in the world than face the potential consequences of a Ragnarok truly realized.
