001; audio; day 65
[The transmission is preceded by a brief sigh, a sound halfway between begrudging and resigned. Not the best noise to make while forming a first impression, but he's past caring at the moment.]
Hello. My name is Lelouch vi Britannia, and evidently, I am among Asgard's newest residents. [A brief pause.] If at all possible, an introduction to the city beyond the incredibly spartan letter and explanation offered by the house staff would be appreciated. I've taken the liberty of browsing some of the messages already posted, of course, but that hardly beats the convenience of having it all rephrased yet again for me, doesn't it?
[He may sound faintly self-mocking. Just faintly, though, and it fades in an instant.]
Besides, it seems like I'm going to be staying here for a while.
[Sudden opening of the city gates or not. And... well, it can't hurt to ask, so after a pause, he does.]
The term "Ragnarok" has come to mean a number of things over the centuries. A selfish man thought it would be the dawn of a new era of peace at the expense of personal freedom and expression. Of course, he wasn't looking at it in those terms, but that's what the result would have been.
Tell me, are our actions here meant to preserve this world from a literal twilight of the gods, a figurative one, or something else?

It's nice to meet you, and yes, I received a map. Why?
( voice )
There's also getting a job tidbit... If you're planning on getting more luxurious items.

Not sure myself, but I guess gods have relations with each other, people react to that, people had pride in their god, things like that can influence to how things are. Not much of a big deal, you can roam around all you like or sleep outside if you're into that.
... You sound too fancy for that kind of lifestyle though.
( voice )
I'm not sure what you mean by "too fancy," but I get what you're saying overall. Thank you for clarifying.
( voice )
This guy sure sighs a lot. ]
And it's about how you present yourself.
( voice )
[Ignore the fact that she's entirely right, it is not relevant.]
Is that all you're going to give me?
( voice )
Give you what exactly... Kudos? Information? Lists of people to avoid? Compliments? Insults? Huge savings on groceries?!
( voice )
Of course, and I'll take information, lists of people to avoid, and huge savings on groceries.
( voice )
If you get your powers back, your head explodes. At least that looks like the trend here. Weird people are from Hel. Hmmm, I also haven't seen any police around either...
You should probably avoid Hel, yeah.
And I'm pretty sure if you dazzle the employees at the grocery store, they'll add a couple of things in for you.

From what I've heard, you probably shouldn't get on a certain vampire's bad side... She seems sweet and all, so there's nothing wrong with approaching and speaking with her, but apparently she has murdered someone for feed? And then was apparently executed for that reason as punishment, I think.
Her name is Diva. Just be wary. I haven't gotten that close to her myself and cannot exactly give you a full report on her tendencies and or behavior. I'll trust that you know how to weave yourself out.
The gods of this realm themselves may act quite shady. You can easily find some threats in their posts a couple of days or so ago... This only pertains to some and not all. Nevertheless, don't butt heads with them too badly. I can't guarantee that you will be safe, but do what you can.
That's all I have... Other than Johan is "creepy". I haven't really made the effort to snoop around meticulously, but I'm sure someone else can fill you in on these cases plus more.
( voice )
Can you tell me more about the houses and the powers people gain on entry? And [Audible smirk time] dazzle them how, precisely?
[filtered]
... Diva. I'll remember the name. Do you know what she looks like?
I don't intend to ruffle the gods' feathers too much, at any rate, but I'm not certain I can make any promises. Thank you for the warning, however, and for all that you've told me.
( voice )
... I'm sure you'll know how! You must have stolen quite a few girls back home, right? [ Lolol. ]

Sheee's this one. [ LINK!! Fiddling with this bracelet serves to be quite useful. ]
It's really no problem.
( voice )
I had more important things to do.
[filtered]
I see. Thank you again.

Don't think too much about it, Lelouch.
( voice )
( voice )
... Just... in general. You might get some wrinkles and gray hair.
( voice )
I sincerely doubt it.
( voice )
I don't knoooow. I knew someone that thought too much into things, stress hit him like an old lady beating some guy's Cadillac with her heavy purse, and the next thing you know...! Gray streaks plagued his scalp as his forehead looked strained with all these lines.
... Not to mention he always scowled and complained about headaches after that.
( voice )
( voice )
It brings my heart great warmth.
[ But then there's some silence. ] ... Are you going to explore outside?
