001; audio; day 65

[The transmission is preceded by a brief sigh, a sound halfway between begrudging and resigned. Not the best noise to make while forming a first impression, but he's past caring at the moment.]

Hello. My name is Lelouch vi Britannia, and evidently, I am among Asgard's newest residents. [A brief pause.] If at all possible, an introduction to the city beyond the incredibly spartan letter and explanation offered by the house staff would be appreciated. I've taken the liberty of browsing some of the messages already posted, of course, but that hardly beats the convenience of having it all rephrased yet again for me, doesn't it?

[He may sound faintly self-mocking. Just faintly, though, and it fades in an instant.]

Besides, it seems like I'm going to be staying here for a while.

[Sudden opening of the city gates or not. And... well, it can't hurt to ask, so after a pause, he does.]

The term "Ragnarok" has come to mean a number of things over the centuries. A selfish man thought it would be the dawn of a new era of peace at the expense of personal freedom and expression. Of course, he wasn't looking at it in those terms, but that's what the result would have been.

Tell me, are our actions here meant to preserve this world from a literal twilight of the gods, a figurative one, or something else?

Freyr likes talking this way, there's nothing wrong about it.

Freyr was told it was Asgard, but it's not at all like the Asgard Freyr is familiar with. It's hard to say.... It doesn't help that it's only been a few days and there's nowhere else to go to compare. It could just be an elaborate prank or the actions of misguided people.

Obviously the gods of this place. Loki seems to talk a lot, or at least Freyr saw that transmission of Utgarda. They should just merge together like Freyr saw Loki back home do. But then Odin is king so it's ultimately his responsibility. They should be polite and not involve outside people in their problems.

Freyr refuses to believe his world is linked to this one and never knew about it previously. There are nine worlds and none of them have doubles....

Unless....

Unless this is the doppelganger world and Freyr is expected to fight his other or else be killed and this place will take over and absorb it like a monster!

What to do... what to do. How can Freyr fight his double if Freyr no longer has his godhood in this place!?

[The one thing that could be safely said about Freyr was that his jumps in logic and conclusions could be very creative and... interesting.]

Then Freyr has no idea what it would be. It doesn't make sense to restrict people if they need people's help.

Hmmm... Freyr needs more than a couple days to figure that out....

If Freyr learns anything more he will be glad to do so!
