Hello, everyone.

[ Sophie turns up on the video feed with a smile on her face. Always using the video function, of course. ]

Seeing all the animals and all those plants was great. There was one I've never seen before until now. It had a hump on its back and it was called... a camel! They look really funny when they're chewing...

[ Obviously most people know that, but Sophie sounds thrilled learning about the animal's name for the very first time. ]

Oh, and... I heard about people receiving gifts from home. I received something too, I don't know why, but... they're sopheria seeds! I didn't think I'd ever find them here... but I finally found them! I went ahead and planted some of the seeds outside of Thor's Welcome Hall and some inside a pot.

[ Just in case there's ever a flood again. The video then shifts towards the window sill where there's a few potted plants and flowers sitting. One contains purple clematis flowers given from Asbel, another contains a miracle berry plant given to her by Damien before he left, and a few others that appear empty still have yet to sprout. Most likely that's where Sophie planted the sopherias. ]

They haven't sprouted yet, but when they do... it'll be wonderful. Everyone should see them when they become a blossomgale.

[The feed flickers a few times as Inara pokes at her bracelet. Finally the image steadies and Inara shakes her head.] Bàoqiàn. I'm sorry, I'm still attempting to get use to this bracelet, we have nothing like them where I come from.

Nǐmén hǎo . For those of you I've failed to meet, I'm Inara Serra and still, I suppose, relatively new here.

[Her smile warms and she clasps her hands together as she continues speaking. Despite what may happen, she's determined to keep her tone friendly and professional.] In my world I'm what is called a Companion and I plan on offering my services as one for those who would like to employ me. I'm more than aware that many of you may not know what a Companion is nor what one does, so please allow me to explain.

A Companion is exactly what it sounds like. We are highly skilled and trained individuals who offers companionship. There are many ways to go about offering this; conversational, spiritual, therapeutic and of course services on a more intimate level. There have been other women and men who have had roles similar to Companions throughout history - Geisha, Sing-song Girls, Oiran and Courtesans.

[And though her expression is still quite friendly, a firmness and no nonsense tone creeps into her voice]

Please do be aware that while I am willing to work on either a short or a long term basis, it is my right as a Companion to refuse any request if I feel as though it won't benefit one or either of us. I am however willing to discuss and perhaps negotiate a contract if any are interested and wish to contact me with inquiries on how to become a client, or even would like a more in-depth what a Companion is.

( Alayne fiddles with the bracelet around her wrist for a moment before speaking - she's hesitant about addressing the whole of a city that she cannot see. After all, it's dangerous to be Sansa Stark these days, now that she's a traitor accused of regicide. But amongst the midst of all these voices, it's unlikely that hers will be recognized ( or so she thinks, as she does not know details of the network yet ). She is Alayne now, not Sansa. They will not know her. Lies and arbor gold, Alayne thinks. No one takes notice of a bastard girl. )

Gods of Asgard, I wanted to thank you for choosing me for such an important task. This is an honour that I did not expect. But I must think of my lord father - he worries so, and I wouldn't want him to fret. I'm only a young girl - surely someone more gallant should be chosen for a deed like this.

Asgard. I thought this place only existed in religion. And if religion is an idea, wouldn't that make Asgard an idea too?

[ Sure, it's an overly simplistic explanation of a complex topic but since it's a topic he knows so little about, it's best to keep it simple ]

Spoiler: He is ] Your gods. I've heard a lot about them. Do they exist any more than the other divine beings? Or are they just something that we need to put our faith in? Like the Easter Bunny.

[ He's passing it off as no big deal. Just questions. No reason behind asking them. It's not like it's because of this supposed divine being that he found himself in the shit heap he was in just before showing up here. The very one that has him a little on edge currently.

so i've spent the last couple of hours wandering around, and i've only seen a few faces i know. i'd like to know who some of you other guys/gals are?
