video; day 406
[ sup Asgard, here's an oracle looking particularly pleased, and it's because she's ..particularly pleased with herself. or maybe just in general. it's hard to tell. but she's sitting on the floor of a bedroom ( hers? probably. but who knows. ), her bracelet being held up for a moment when the feed first clicks on before it's put on the floor in front of her. then she's kind of stretching but kind of not, leaning forward a little, pretty much just to avoid the most unflattering camera angle in the world. but she's too jittery to actually hold the camera up, so- right. anyway. ]
So I've been thinking. [ there's a pause, like she's imagining someone going 'uh oh' ] And I think what this city really, really needs is an art club. Or an art- something. Club sounds too much like high school. And that's not what I'm thinking of. Not really a class, but just a time and place where people can get together and make- stuff. Make art. There's a really great space in the Freyr district that's open to the public to use, and I've been going there just to draw and paint on my own, but I just keep thinking that it might be really cool if there was a whole group of us. And I already know there's a few people here who like art as much as I do, so I figured I'd bring it up. Because why not.
We don't even have to work on any projects together, specifically, but sometimes it's kind of nice surrounding yourself with people just creating things, right?
[ there's a pause, and she sighs a little sigh ] I know that there are a lot of really scary things going on, and I've found myself more caught up in them than I ever thought I would be. But our purpose here isn't just about fighting and sweating and bleeding to try and save the worlds, right? It's about bringing the color back.
And... Isn't that what art is for?
[ oo, so insightful, she might have practiced that one. then she's grinning again, a little mischievous ]
So... Let me know if you want in, okay? Oh, and if anybody wants a live model to paint, I've got just the man for the job. [ she's looking up past the camera now, reaching to shut it off as she does. ] Hey, Stiles-!

ACTION - Jerk
Oh... oh no you didn't. You did not just offer me up as some sort of... eye candy to doodle. This candy is limited edition. Part of a private collection, if you know what I mean. You know what I mean, don't you?
no subject
[ a pause.
...... ]
They put it on display, Stiles. They put it on display for the whole world to see.
[ she's pretty much immediately wincing. and laughing. wilaughcing. ]
no subject
No one's seeing my limited edition-ness. My... packaged glory.
Shut up, that's a thing. No, seriously, stop laughing. I'm going to have to retaliate, Dare.
[He's standing there, hands on his hips looking so incredibly put out.]
no subject
You can be packaged! Nobody said anything about you being- unpackaged!?
[ aaand she's laughing again. she didn't want to let her brain go there, but it went there. ]
I can't wait to call it that -
[ laaaughing ]
- when you least expect it -
[ ahahaahahAHAhaha ]
I'm going to tell you I want your packaged glory.
no subject
[He walked over to the bed and grabbed a pillow, bringing it over and whacking her in the head with it.]
You brought this on yourself, woman. A man's packaged glory is nothing to laugh at.
no subject
I'm sorry! I'm totally not laughing at your package, I'm laughing at your word choice, I mean- seriously-!
[ and now she's laughing again woops ]
no subject
[Whack. Whack, whack, whack. Though, it's hard to whack now with Hale coming in and screeching flapping at both of them and then landing on Rachel's head.]
What? She totally started it.
no subject
C'mere, Hale. Down. Please. [ she holds her arm out, bent, like a perch. and then she's tipping her head forward a bit. ] I'm not really looking to get scalped today, buddy. --Though I didn't start anything. For the record.
no subject
[But he's dropped the pillow and is moving over to go sit on the bed, grinning at Hale staring between him and the arm lifted up for him to step down on, like he was still debating on if 'mom' needed protection or not. But then he takes a step down, wings tucking in against his sides as he scrambles up to wrap around her neck. Yes. Favorite perch. Hello.]
no subject
I just don't see what the big deal is. You're very- drawable, I want to draw you all the time.
no subject
[He grinned, flopping back on the bed, knees bent and hanging over the edge so his feet could rest on the floor, his head pillowed with his hands.]
no subject
That's completely different.
[ then she's scooting around to face him, and all she's really got is a good view of his shins, but ah well. she reaches to tuck her hand behind one of his ankles, pulling his foot onto her knee ( no, Hale, not so you can eat his socks ) just so she can try her hand at pressing her thumbs into the sole of his foot. she's not going to apologize for what she said in her post, but maybe she feels a little bad for making him think she was laughing at his -package. so. footrub! even though she's going to just continue talking like nothing's even happening ]
I'd still like it if you came just to hang out, at least. I like having you around when I'm painting.
no subject
That... I might be able to come do. I like watching you paint. You get this look on your face...
[He smiled at the thought of it, how she looked like she was concentrating so intensely. And the occasional bit of her tongue poking out.]
no subject
What look? Are you about to tease me for my painter's face?
[ she knows what he's talking about, vaguely. it's the same way that guitarists and drummers made faces while they played music, artists kind of had the same habits. ]
no subject
[He was lying there, mind flitting off as it did when he wasn't concentrating on anything intently. No meds and being happy had him sort of... all over the place sometimes. He thought about how weird it was that he'd found the love of his life in some alternate universe, off-shoot thoughts thinking about how to make sure she came home with him when all this was done... all while enjoying the fact that she was touching him, just because she could.]
no subject
[ ... no, she wasn't expecting that. so she's caught off-guard, for a second. ]
Well, good. Because faces are a crucial part of the artistic process. You can ask anybody that.
[ her thumb moves up to circle over the ball of his foot, just under his big toe, and she's trying. so hard. not to make a comment. about the size of his feet. it's just a boy foot, it's not a big deal. anatomy. right. bodies.
... yeah, no, there's no rationalizing this. he isn't just a boy, he's Stiles, so her brain is going there, and she's glad he can't see the smile on her face as she continues to rub ]
You and Scott should get a lacrosse team together or something. I'd go to all your games.
[ preeeen! ]
no subject
Nah, I don't think I want to be riding the bench here as well as back home. But I do warm a great bench. My butt is perfectly conducive to keeping the wood at the perfect temperature.
[That still felt good, and he might have made a little sigh because... that felt good.]
no subject
no subject
Do you ogle my butt at work?
[Because that was kind of cool.]
no subject
-- Is that a trick question?
no subject
Seriously? You ogle my butt at work. That's...
[Awesome. Fantastic. Ego primping.]
I love you.
no subject
[ she's probably pushing her luck here, but- ]
But it's not just at work, Stilinski.
no subject
[Yeah, he's kind of grinning like an idiot. His foot jiggles in her hands a bit.]
Can I ask where else?
no subject
Anytime, really. There's a reason I told you to go up the stairs first before.
no subject
You're kidding, right? Really? I guess that means I have an okay butt, huh?
