asgardeventide | Day 475 [Video]

[In spite of the cold snap, Jane is seen out and about the Freyr District in this video. It's night, and she's wrapped up considerably against the snow, which has begun to slow for the time being. It floats in the light of the street lamp she's under, and she gives the feed a very serious look.]

I strongly advise anyone with no particular business to stay indoors tonight. Given the unusual shift in the weather, there's no telling what could happen next, so if it isn't an urgent matter or you're not part of the City Patrol, like myself, then you're much better off by the fireplace with a mug of hot cocoa.

[Her expression sours just a little bit. It'd be nice to heed her own advice, but, well. She signed up to patrol, and by gum she'll patrol.]

Um, that being said, I'd like to put a message out to the others in the City Patrol as well. I was wondering if, perhaps, we could get together and discuss some things, patrol routes and whatnot. I'd be happy to host it, if need be.

[A pause. Jane bites her lip; she wants to make this sound official and helpful and...is she even doing that? Aaaugh...]

That's definitely true but I guess I'm not use to snow being the type of weather to look out for. [more like fog and rain...]

Has weather indicated any changes or disasters for this world before?

I don't know about this world, but judging by the consistency of the seasons that I have seen here, I'd say it was a good hunch that it can.

It has in the past where I'm from! If you happen to be from Earth, you should be familiar with the Ice Age...?

Are the seasons here the same as Earth's? That would be convenient...

Oh, yes. I am. I'm from Inaba in Japan. [A pause. Wait, what.] The... Ice Age? Yes, I know of it, of course. What about it?

It seems that they are, so I'll bet on my hunch.

Oh - alright! I just wanted to be sure. I can't see you, and I've bumped into folks who are distinctly not from Earth before.

It just reminds me of that, is all - with the cold weather moving in so quickly and everything.

Well that's good at least. It's easier to notice strange weather patterns that way then.

Oh, it's okay. I assumed as much. There are so many different people here from different worlds... it's logical to assume not everyone would be from Earth. [which was still WEIRD to think about but hey.]

I see... Well, I don't know about that. That seems like a little too much of a worst case scenario, doesn't it?

So I'm learning! Er, Asgardian logic I mean. It's a little hard to wrap my head around, but I think I've got the most of it by now.

You can't be too careful, I say! What with the worlds rotting, anything could happen.

I'm glad. I still don't have the hang of anything right now. I feel like I never will at this rate.

I suppose we should be ready for that too. I hope we can save some of the worlds that haven't rotted too...

Oh, don't think like that! You will! Watch, everything will become more familiar without you even realizing it.

I'm certain we can. Maybe there's even a way to heal the ones that have been damaged - though I'm really not the person to talk to about that. It's just a thought.
