This is--something is wrong. I can't....I can't remember. And Anna, something is wrong with her too. She doesn't remember leaving Arendelle to bring me back. I don't remember why I left Arendelle in the first place. I know the trolls took her memory of my powers, but this....this is different.

[Sure. There are painful memories. But at the same time, Elsa doesn't mean to forget them. But use them as lessons. To learn from those mistakes. But how can she? When she can't recall making them, the reasons behind them? Losing her memory terrifies her. More worrying is Anna. That's what Elsa is more concerned about. Anna has already had her memories replaced before....

Taking a page from Joffrey's book and demanding, claiming authority where there is none doesn't seem to be the way to go. Elsa just wants to help her sister.]

I doubt this is just the two of us affected though. I don't suppose anyone else knows what is going on here, exactly? From what I can tell it's....our memories. I keep forgetting things. And then there are those....Well, I don't think they are ghosts? It seems they might be other travelers? Something to do with Hel and her power to bring us back being interfered with? I don't know. I am not sure if anyone could help Anna, but it worries me. I hope we can fix things. Soon.

[It was something Honir had given, during an old event. She knew that. She just couldn't remember why a picture of her mother had been given. All memories of the woman were just gone...]

I... think something's just wrong. I'm having trouble remembering a lot of things from home, why I was always so mad about my life, how it got so insane. And... it's scaring me a little bit.

I don't even remember why I left Arendelle. It is....terrifying really. Knowing there must be a reason. But I can't figure why.

[But she can understand. Relate to how confused Anna must have been.]

Believe me. I understand. [She showed the picture. The woman that she was in what looked like a kitchen with was like a thirty-something year old version of her with brown hair and eyes. She was there, obviously younger, wings sprouting from her back. The fact that she was visibly younger marked it in reality as a very old picture of the family. She'd physically grown up very young.]

I know I'm supposed to know her. She must be a relation of mine, but I can't remember who she is.

Perhaps your mother? I would say an older sister, but she seems perhaps a little older for that. I could be wrong, but that would be my guess.

[Elsa notes the different coloured hair to Sam, the wings at her back. She knows Samantha mentioned that, or thinks she recalls as such. But it still takes her by surprise a little to see the evidence.]

[The oddity of the image was that the woman looked completely human. The wings were on Samantha's back, which was very strange since Elsa had never seen any sign that she had them. At the mention of family, the half-demon shook her head.]

My mother? I... can't remember anything about my mother, Elsa. I... I ...

[She took a long, very deep breath and closed her eyes.]

Is this my mother?

I'm not sure if it is or not. I would assume so. This is just a guess, of course. For all I know it may be someone else you were close to growing up.

[Elsa merely figures the wings were something that Asgard took away, the way it seemed to take or change people's powers. It also apparently changes people to be physically human. She assumes that and not necessarily that anything happened with her wings back home.]

[A story she might hear one day. That statement didn't seem to calm the girl, though. Her eyes focused on the painting and her whole body quivered. She had to struggle with her breath for a moment before finally calming.]

It has to be her. But I can barely remember anything of my childhood, anything at all. It's like there's a giant hole when I was young.

I... hate this, Elsa.

That is....strange. Worse than Anna. And even then the trolls simply replaced her memories with more normal ones without my magic. This is...unnerving.

I know. I hate it too. I just wish there were more I could do.

[She paused. Her eyes widened a fraction, and a thought occurred to her. The color began to drain from her face.]

Color. Bring color back... We need to keep working and getting ready. Whatever it is, it's a reminder that we don't have that much time.

I'm not sure that is quite what is wrong with those....figures. But you're right. That and the war are what we were brought here to help with. And the colour is triggered through our emotions, correct? I'd say something like this, getting everyone worked up would surely be helping in that regard.

[She shook her head.] They don't curse us like they used to. You're right. It's getting me worked up. I'm feeling something right now, but...

I don't think this is them. I'm sure of it. It feels...wrong.

So....you think it is the Giants? Thiazi is doing this somehow? I don't see how or why this would be the gods' doing. Sure, this could get them more colour but....this wouldn't endear us to helping them for putting us through this as far as I could imagine.

It could be her. It was her the last time it felt like this... but if it is, I don't see why she's not attacking. Just tormenting us like this doesn't feel like something she'd do. There's always an attack along with it.

[She shuddered.]

It almost feels like the things tying us home are getting fuzzy.

Attacking with the frost giants? As far as I can tell, you're right there. But who else would it be? Or how else could this be happening if not because of her?

[There's a pause as Elsa considers that last.]

You don't think....if this keeps happening, we might not go home? Might not remember or have any idea of our life or powers we used to have? I can't...I won't let that happen to Anna!

I think we need to deal with the problems, that we need to end this war and make sure that never happens. [Underneath the fear was a firmness of resolve as she said that, her head shaking.] We have to make sure and beat this thing so it doesn't have a chance to get that bad for us.

I don't think it's permanent, at least I hope not. But it might be a warning of what could happen.

Yes. Especially if our homes are at risk. But I'm not sure what kind of help we could be when everyone is disappeared or in this state right now. You think this could be a warning?

It's going to be hard to mount a real defense, but we can try and put together anything we're able. I do think it's a warning, even if it's more the kind of warning you get right before an earthquake, with the first tremors.

I would be much better equipped for a fight if they let me keep my ice powers. But regardless....I will certainly do what I can. I guess I can simply hope things don't get worse, but that is probably futile, knowing how things escalate in Asgard from what I have experienced.

[She smiled a little at that. The fact that Elsa could say something like that seemed like a step in the right direction. It meant she wasn't as afraid of them as before.]

They will, but would you like to train in some other method of fighting one of these days? I'll admit, my style's not exactly nice.

You would be able to help? I would just feel better that myself and Anna could do something to defend ourselves if necessary. I'm still not sure how I feel about her using...a gun, she mentioned.

I... fight with knives, and chains, and claws. [She lifted the sickle she frequently carried and showed it, the chain and weight at the end of it hanging from the base of its haft.] I know a few other weapons, but the types of weapons I know well are held in your hands.

That said... why are you worried about a gun?

[The claws thing is what makes her raise an eyebrow at that. She's not seen a sickle before. Mostly it's the likes of swords and crossbows back home that Elsa is aware of. Which does potentially explain her hesitation around her sister learning to use a gun. A weapon she isn't entirely sure about.]

I...well, Anna can be....a bit of a klutz sometimes. Plus I'm not entirely sure how safe these guns are.

Claws. [She extended hers so they were visible before retracting them and shook her head.] They're not good for fighting here. At home, they could cut through leather. Here... they're more like cat claws so I don't really use them.

[She snickered at the comment and nodded. Since Anna had agreed to help at the shop, she 'might' have put certain chemicals in slightly stronger vials.]

Fair. You wouldn't want her to shoot herself on accident. A gun's got a safety if it's new enough. While it's on, it won't fire. I'm not very good at them, but I can show you how they work anyway.

I...did not know you could do that. I know I certainly can't. But perhaps the knives might be an option.

[Yeah. Anna is. Precious and Elsa loves her dearly but sister is clumsy.]

Oh. Safety? I suppose I could at least look into it before talking to Anna about it.

Well, it's just one of those demon things, honestly. Weapons have always been better. The safety's a small switch on the gun. I'll show you whenever you want. In the meantime, though, I can show you how to fight with knives if you want.
