[Have a particularly charming British accent address you all as he's settling himself in. It's not that he's particularly not wanting to show his face. After all it's enough that people can easily find him here, even if he may or may not have already lied about his identity.]

So as I understand it, and pardon the questions since I'm sure you all go through this periodically it seems, but this city and its gods are under attack, and they've called upon us to save it and their people and our own worlds from becoming colorless drabs.

Now that's all fine and well, who doesn't love a good epic, but my only question is why do they remove our own abilities? I know for a fact with the lot that have been taken from my own, plus toss in a few good witches, and this whole affair would be over by Christmas, back to our own worlds where we have pressing matters. [Like taking over New Orleans.]

I'm not saying I'm any type of hero. In fact I'm finding myself at a loss of what to do here. So aside from the gripes about losing my power as an Original vampire and all it took to gain becoming a hybrid again, [You know, poor Aunt Jenna] I have little knowledge on what to do here.

So I ask both about the purpose of these powers these gods have bestowed as well as the power structure of this place. I'm sure there must be someone monopolizing on the power or rather powerless here.

It's a little complicated. Lacanthropy is hereditary, but only comes about if someone was killed, accidentally or not, by the werewolf. My family is the first vampires, the only ones to exist that we're not bitten or sired. I am the Original hybrid and there have only been a precious few like me. Vampires die from a werewolf's bite, and humans can only become vampires since one is born a werewolf. So to be a hybrid, I was born in the line of werewolves, though the witch that placed the eternal spell on us did not know of my true parentage. Or she didn't know what her actions would cause. To be a vampire, you must drink blood. The compulsion the first night is strong, and so I killed my first victim which activated my werewolf side.

For anyone else, they must be a werewolf bitten by me though it's a little more difficult than that as magic has many road blocks in the way to try and make my life difficult. If I bite a vampire, I just kill them.

[She wants to talk about how it would be complicated to gather all the people who don't fully trust the gods or what they say, because she thinks everyone else would get in the way. But she doesn't have much of an interest in taking back on the topic, since she's pretty fascinated by the words that come out of his mouth.]

You're so open with all of this. Do you usually kill people you tell these things to, or just not care who knows?

[She wishes she could be as open as he is about it, and so blunt about what she is without caring what others think.]

And here, they changed what you are, right? You're not a hybrid anymore. Which means no more needing to drink from people, or having a werewolf side or trying to hide any of it.

I'm an Original, darling. Humans may not know about vampires, werewolves or witches, but they all know me. I have somewhat of a reputation. [And you are stroking his ego, girly. Please continue.]

I'm not as powerful here. I was unstoppable back home, and I've yet to be challenged here. [He left Mystic Falls on relatively good terms. He knows Elena, Stefan, and Damon won't do anything unless he does something. Tyler has the potential, but he still has Kol and while Kol may initiate something on Elena, preventing Damon and Stefan from not doing anything, denying who and what he is and pretending to be normal just isn't his style. Not when it seems so be a known fact here. There are beings with powers here. What's the point?]

Both my need for blood and what I am are gone now, but that still doesn't leave me weak. I have a brother here as well.

You don't have a reputation in the version of Earth I come from. But then again, I guess people with super powers don't exist in yours. Kind of weird how I wake up here and learn there's hundreds of different versions of the same planet. I definitely think I'm missing out on the one where you exist, though.

[She's good at stroking egos, usually without meaning to. in this case, she's simply curious about the fact vampires actually exist and she's talking to someone that is one.]

What's your brother's name, though? I might want to talk to him too. Actually, I don't think I even know your name.

I've gathered I'm not known in other worlds, but that does little to dissuade me of who I am and what I've already achieved. And I can't say we have super powers. Humans are humans, but there are the supernatural. I suppose what I can do back home would be considered as much. Strength, speed, regeneration, compulsion, shifting. [All in one package.]

[She has to take a moment to just smile and stare, because wow. He's so open and honest with what he is and what that means, and she really admires that. A lot. Plus, he's just so charming. So it takes her a moment or two to get past the smiling stage, and after clearing her throat awkwardly she thinks to finally respond.]

I'm Claire Bennet. And I wish you could show me everything you're able to do. But since we're stuck here, we could always meet up sometime and show off the powers we've had forced on us instead.

As you wish, Claire. I haven't met many people here, and I'm still a novice, but if I could get more of a grip on these powers, it would be quite useful. [Charming smile.]
