So as I understand it, and pardon the questions since I'm sure you all go through this periodically it seems, but this city and its gods are under attack, and they've called upon us to save it and their people and our own worlds from becoming colorless drabs.

Now that's all fine and well, who doesn't love a good epic, but my only question is why do they remove our own abilities? I know for a fact with the lot that have been taken from my own, plus toss in a few good witches, and this whole affair would be over by Christmas, back to our own worlds where we have pressing matters. [Like taking over New Orleans.]

I'm not saying I'm any type of hero. In fact I'm finding myself at a loss of what to do here. So aside from the gripes about losing my power as an Original vampire and all it took to gain becoming a hybrid again, [You know, poor Aunt Jenna] I have little knowledge on what to do here.

So I ask both about the purpose of these powers these gods have bestowed as well as the power structure of this place. I'm sure there must be someone monopolizing on the power or rather powerless here.

I had little choice over what I was and what I became. [Not that slaughtering people was anything big to unlock his hybrid curse.]

How was it forced upon you? [ All the nosy from questions from the nosy little werewolf. ]

One cannot help what magic is cast on them. [He really isn't going to go into details.]

I'm sorry it was against your will. [ Sympathy for Klaus, this must be new for him, but Scott can relate. ]

[It is strange, and he's half wondering what the kid is after. No one shows genuine concern for him. Sometimes Caroline, but that's complicated now.]

What's done is done. You cannot help what is forced on you nor what you were born as. [So he thrives on the monster he is.]

[ And Scott thrives on being the opposite. ] You learn to live with it and do good with what's been given to you. [ Well, that last part might only apply to Scott... ]

I'm merely trying to survive. [What he is is known. He's been hunted down his whole life and used for others. If he's caused some deaths along the way, he's unsympathetic, but he doesn't need to say that. Not when this Scott is clearly a do-gooder.]
