I have no idea what I was expecting when I walked out those door when I arrived, but it certainly wasn't running for my life.

[Margaret pauses thoughtfully, just long enough to where there's silence on the line.]  

All I want right now is a very stiff drink. I assume someone has recommendations.

Of course you'd know. [She's poking buttons and the like until she accidentally hits video. At least she managed to find a gray sweatshirt and a pair of jeans that mostly fit. Her hair is a bit of a mess, though.]

With all the repairing going on? Maybe. The flood washed out a lot of shit that wasn't tied down.

After spending my first hour or two in this city running from a flood and the rest working hospital shifts, I think I've earned a shot or two of something. [Anything, really.] Natural disasters are never pretty or tidy.

There's a couple of pubs around here.

A list might be helpful, considering I've just arrived. Aside from the hospital and some sort of cafe, I haven't been much of anywhere. The Roadhouse seems to be the only one on my list.

You may be running short on luck, lady - with the recent flood many places are short of much, including drink.

There are a few places run by Travellers, and if tis ale or mead you fancy rather than wine, [ insert his favourite tavern here ] is passing fair, if any of their stock survived.

I'm not sure I've ever had mead or really, much ale, either. Wine, gin, [if you can call Hawk's gin at all] whiskey, bourbon, perhaps, but mead isn't familiar at all.

I suppose that depends on what kind and if it's decent.

Check out the Roadhouse. It's a really nice little bar. Friend of mine owns it. Barring that, I'm not against sharing my personal stash. I barely touch it anyway.

There seems to be a tavern on every corner around here. What you really need to know is what taverns to avoid. If there's a surly looking redhead woman behind the bar, just turn around and walk right out the door. Unless you like your drinks poisoned.

A very stiff drink and you're right about the company, though I've got three from home I can, at least, vouch for.
