[Welcome to Jon's face. It's not a particularly happy face. In fact, it looks pretty sour at the moment. He really hates having to use the bracelet, but he has a very important announcement to make.]

This is a message to the gods that have stolen us and brought us here.

[He has no actual knowledge of who the gods are or if they even care about their charges, but as they seem to have more of a hand in the affairs of others than his own gods, he'll see if a direct approach works.]

During the... incident which had your blasted magic working ill against those you gave it to, my brother wound up losing his hand. Due to your ineptitude and this unwanted sorcery, he has a stump where a perfectly fine hand was before. What sort of gods give people powers they don't ask for? It's bad enough you've brought children here, but you seem not to care about the ill effects of your war on those that are hale enough here to fight it.

[The sour look is directed more intensely at the screen now.]

I insist you fix it. I've gone to your temples and asked for this, but as it's seemed to fall on deaf ears, perhaps you need it shouted in your face.

Fix my brother or you'll have me to deal with and Asgard's gods will join him in missing body parts.

[Caw caw, motherfucker.]

[He looks down when she appears on the screen, always having a hard time meeting the eyes of the woman who despised him so much.]

I think it's worth a try, Lady Stark. He's crippled now through no fault of his own and if they can fix it, I'll have them do so.

[motherofwinter]

[ Her eyebrow lifts, she knows the condition of her own son, he need not tell her of it.] And what of the consequences? Or the price that may be demanded in return?

[snowcrow]

If it's mine to give, I'll offer it.

[Even if that meant his own hand, though he wouldn't come out and say that. Not to her. She'd either not believe him or call him a fool for it.]

[motherofwinter]

We both know Robb would not let you pay it. [ There is a pause... before she switches to private;]

But if there is a price to pay, I will pay it.

[snowcrow]

[He can see something change on the screen, something that he's seen before that marks it as some kind of secret message now and he wishes he'd learned how to do that.

But the mention of her paying it has his eyes snapping up and widening it.]

No, Lady Stark. Robb would never forgive me if anything happened to you, nor would I myself. If it's a hand they want in payment, they can have mine. He needs you hale.

[motherofwinter]

[ She has been instructed well. ]

And yet, you need a hand more than I to protect my children. [ She's being practical, not loving.] I do not need forgiveness to do what is best for Robb.

[snowcrow]

[He hadn't bothered to learn. Perhaps he should. Perhaps...]

Lady Stark...

[She had a point and he could see where she was coming from in terms of logistics and protecting her own, but it offended him deep down to think of her being harmed. There was no love lost between them, but she was still the mother of his siblings and he'd not see her hurt if he could help it.]

Perhaps it is best to wait to see what it is they want first.

[motherofwinter]

And you will tell me if there is something to be done then?

[snowcrow]

You have my word that if I find anything that can be done to make him whole, I will let you know.

[motherofwinter]

[ there is a pause.] You have my thanks then.

[snowcrow]

[He nodded, not expecting anything more or less from her.]

Are you well? Comfortable where you're staying?

[motherofwinter]

I would prefer to be under the same roof as Arya, Sansa, and Bran. [ Robb is a man, he can stay with them if he wants but she half expects him to want to be on his own.]

[snowcrow]

Robb and I...

We've been talking about pooling our resources together to try to find accommodations for the younger ones. They'd need their mother.

[motherofwinter]

I would contribute what I can. [ This is humbling but she will do anything for her children.] I have rings I can sell. The stones must hold some value.

[snowcrow]

Do not beggar yourself, Lady Stark. Robb has employment and I've sound something to help. I'm certain we can manage without you having to get rid of your things.

[motherofwinter]

I have no need for rings. [ The rings hold only a little sentimental value, only one is from Ned, the rest can be sold.] I am not going to be a beggar but I will also not stand by idly, I want to help our situation as best I can.

[snowcrow]

May I suggest talking to Robb. He's been here the longest and likely knows the best way to go about trying to find a place where all of the Starks can reside.

[motherofwinter]

I will speak to my son. [ she can think of her own ideas!]

[snowcrow]
