Hello, hello, hello, people of Asgard!

[Why, there seems to be a very cheerful-looking face peering at your screens now. And this face just happens to have eyes that are clocks. As in actual clocks. Feel free to react accordingly.]

Just wanted to give a big welcome to all the new people, a pleasure to have you all! I hope to get to know you. My name is Cheriour, and I'm an angel of the Lord.

Now, some of you may be asking yourselves, "what exactly is an angel"? [He pauses briefly, puffing his chest out as if he's really proud that he can answer this obviously vital question.] Well, let me tell you! I come from a place which contains a world called Earth. We have a single God who created this world and all its inhabitants.

Yes, you heard that correctly. One god. Not multiple. This may be hard to believe for you, but trust me, me hearing about multiple gods in your worlds surprised me because it's rather frowned in our culture...anyways, enough about that! We angels serve God with all His duties, and we look over humanity and ensure that good people are rewarded and protected and understand the way of God.

[And he holds up a couple of quickly-drawn pictures to the camera.]

This is me! And the one on the right is my good friend, Pendroz. He's another angel, just like me. As you can see, we angels don't all look the same. Kind of like human beings! And we all have different duties, too. Pendroz rules over the ninth hour of every day, and his power ensures that time flows correctly in that hour and can't be messed with by external forces. I deal with criminals and those who have hurt others- it is my job to make sure they can never hurt anyone ever again.

And this odd-looking creature is also an angel! Wait a second, you might be asking yourself, that doesn't look anything like you or Pendroz. But honestly, this is just as much of an angel as I am. You see, when God started creating us, He hadn't created humans in the image of Himself yet...so his first angels didn't look so human in the beginning. Then he created angels like me and Pendroz, who were more in His image but not quite there yet. Our insides aren't organic, even. But then he created the archangels, which turned out to be the most human-looking of us all. I would've drawn you a picture, but I haven't met an archangel in person- they're very powerful and very busy with their phenomenal duties.

[A pause.]

So! Um. That's it, I suppose. If you have anymore questions about angels in my world, don't hesitate to ask! I'll answer them as best as I can, okay?

Yes, that usually works. What, did you expect that we use force? Occasionally we do, but mostly it's just persuasion to change their ways.

Force is almost exclusively used among angels in my world.

[A frown.]

Force should only be used to extreme cases, like corruption by demons and such. Not if they are doubting their position. That's like trying to kill a fly with dynamite. It just makes things worse, I should think.

[Castiel likes that answer, and takes note of it as well.]

Those running Heaven in my world don't see it as you do. Doubt is punishable alone, questioning or disobedience even more so, all with force.

That's horrid, really. The warmth of the sun can just be just as powerful as a brutal torrent of rain. Force is not the all-go-to answer for every single case.

Who runs heaven, incidentally, on your world? Since God is not present and all.

[Definitely an answer Castiel prefers. It's not like force was ever effective, anyway; it simply eliminated a problem for the angels in charge, rather than trying to fix anything for the angel who was doubting.]

The Archangel Raphael.

[Sort of. There had really been two leaders, of course; Raphael and himself, and with Raphael's death and his own upgrade in power, Heaven had been his. But he's dead now too, and has no idea who will take control of Heaven.]

The Archangel Raphael...? Makes sense. I would expect one of the Archangels to be in charge if God was absent...

But let me guess, he is not doing his job very well, is he?

That is an understatement.

[And Castiel is a master of understatements, so you know he really thinks this is one.]

Have there been efforts to find God?

[He goes quiet for a moment at that.]

There have. We have never found Him, but received word from an angel that had spoken to Him. He has no intention or desire to return.

What?!

[That's...it's one thing for God to be absent, but quite another for him to actually state he doesn't want to return.]

So he just...he just abandoned you all.

Yes.

[It had hurt, terribly, and it had been even worse to have his faith restored by their victory only to have it destroyed once again as he lost everything fighting Raphael to protect Earth and his friends.]

I'm so sorry, Castiel. God should be there for all His people. Not shirk his responsibilities.

[What a sad, sad world Castiel's world was. 8(]

[He gives a tiny shrug, which is basically a lift of one shoulder.]

We have learned to act without Him.

...Does Lucifer know about that?

I don't know if he did. Likely, yes.

So, it's just one more advantage for him...

[A slight sigh. YOUR WORLD IS SO DEPRESSING.]

He lost.

[Said with some level of pride, despite everything.]

His advantages meant nothing in the end.

Did he?

[That's good news, at least!]

That...that does make me glad. That you don't have to deal with him if he lost the fight.

[He nods slightly.]

We won because of Sam.

[Faint hint of pride in his voice there; he can't help it. Sam's a badass.]

Sam seems to be a very powerful individual! I'm happy you know a person like him. You said he was a hunter?

[If Castiel thinks he's awesome, then he must be awesome. It's an undeniable fact.]

He is unique.

[Sam is the best. It's totally fact.]

A unique hunter? Hmmm. And his brother is in the same profession?

He is.

How did they get in the profession, I wonder? Not many humans would have the bravery to go up against creatures like Lilith.
