I know this might be a stupid question. But what all do you give someone on Valentine's Day-either on your world or on Asgard? Dates are out of the question because of her...job, but I'd like to give her something anyway. I've had girlfriends before, but that was ages ago and we didn't really do Valentine's Day like you lot do it. [because whooo aliens!] And when I was on Earth, most of the time was spent in an English public school-not of my own choosing, mind you. [by the little scrunched up expression on his face, it's pretty obvious what Turlough thinks of English public school (it sucks.)]

So while I'm no stranger to the subject of love, I...sort of am to gifts. [it took him a lot of strength to admit that and now he's frowning a bit.] Any help would be appreciated.

[As Turlough speaks, his expression softens, smiling slightly.] She's kind and caring-she does so much for everyone here, without expecting that much in return. And she's astonishingly beautiful.

But...[and here he pauses, with a small frown, before confiding to River] she's astonishingly out of my league, so I need to make this count.

[It's a lovely expression on his face. One he should wear much more often.] She sounds lovely. But I didn't expect any different if you fell for her.

I see. Well, out of your league sometimes isn't much of a problem. Not when you are nice and good looking and put in an effort. I'd say you pass on all three occasions. [Not flirty this time, no. This time her whole demeanor is protective, like a mother watching out for her son. And really, she wants to help him and see him succeed.]
