[She's on her way soon enough. Jade will only have a short while to wait before the red-head's checking at the door.]

[ Jade's out of her uniform, sitting at a corner booth. She lifts a hand to flag Samantha down, the other curled around a mug of something hot. ]

[Samantha made her way over and plopped down with a heavy 'fwump.' It was ... good to see Jade again. The hadn't had time to catch up before. But, now was as good as any.]

Not at all. I really like, um - just spending time in the restaurant, I guess. Kinda like home, you know?

That, I can definitely understand. I spend so much time at the shop that I think it's more my home than my apartment is. [Any of her neighbors could have said that about her. She wasn't home often.]

That's Draco, too. I think he's trying to spend more time at home, though? It's really weird. [ Her nose is wrinkled - she seems amused by it more than anything. ]

[She considered that for a moment.] He... might just want to spend more time with you. You never know.

Maybe. We live together, so it's not like he doesn't actually see me.

Have you ever thought about how it's easy even if you live together not to pay much attention to each other? Has he been more attentive lately?

[ Jade just shrugs a little awkwardly, sort of avoiding the question entirely. ] Tell me about your trip?

[samantha_grey]

[Fair enough. She didn't want to pry too hard. So, the trip... well, there were things she could talk about.]

Well, for one, I found out that Temari is a really effective person at making Eridan feel impotent and jealous. Good for getting him into a senseless frothing rage.

[ She can't help but laugh a little at that. ]

But how'd you find that out, exactly?

... umm, well... [She coughed and glanced] He kinda caught me looking. We had a fight, not a really long one, but when it was over, we'd agreed to stop trying to be everything to each other. We're definitely black.

[And she knew better than to let him catch her with anyone she was 'red' with.]

I kind of respect that, you know?

[ Jade swings her legs, looking a little sheepish again. ]

I can't- I really can't do that. Be anything but everything.

Thanks. Not everyone can.

I used to be really jealous about it, thought that I needed to. [She shook her head and sighed.] Still jealous sometimes, but the truth is I can't be everything. I could try, but I'd consume all of him. I might outright kill him.
