I literally just slept for like a week.

[ Jade's voice is a little hoarse, her hair wet from a shower, and she still seems vaguely sleepy. ]

[ She's smiling just as cheerfully back. ]

I'm glad to hear there were no giant attacks, though. Did you get any cool gifts?

I got a pogo stick! Just showed up in my room overnight. Never really thought I'd need one, but it's pretty cool.

Oh! I had one of those when I was little. How long can you even manage to stay upright on that thing??

Not long at all! It's harder than it looks. I fell flat in my face the first time I tried to jump, but you know what they say, practice makes perfect.

I think we should all ride them into battle. It'd throw the giants for a loop, wouldn't it?

- yeah!! We totally should! Jumping high is really useful against bigger emenies and we can combine them with our different powers in all kinds of creative ways. Not to mention they make great improvised mallets. That's an awesome idea!

...pfftehehe. It was actually a joke! But if it works for you, I'm not gonna tell you not to. I'm Jade, by the way!

[Oh, he is SO going to try to weaponize a pogo stick.]

Mikazuki. And this gal right here [He pans the camera to show a stern looking crow.] is Mu.

[ She seems delighted, ears perking curiously. ]

I like crows a lot. Did you meet her here?

[He chuckles; it's a nice reaction and her those are adorable. Mu cranes her neck just a little - a human with dog ears, how odd.]

Nope! She's a friend from home.

Oh! I have one of those, too. My dog is here, too. It makes a giant difference, doesn't it?

Yeah, it does!

What kind of dog you have?

Ehehe. One is a German Shepherd, the other is a -- well, I'm not really sure what he is, actually!

[ Jade leans back, whistling sharply -- a large white dog of indeterminate breed comes into view a few minutes later, at her beckoning, curling up on the bed beside her. ]

This is him. He's my best friend.
