We don't know how it's working in specific, but possession isn't easy. You can give suggestions, ideas, but not solid concepts, especially not from this distance. Their primary impulse is destruction. Anything more detailed is coming from a source.

I am not protecting anybody. I'm simply attempting to help you to consider other possibilities. But, you being so typically bullheaded like your father, I suspect doing so will be fruitless.

[Severus can't deny it, no. But he's also seen, first hand, just how incapable of murder Draco is. Severus has great difficulty believing Draco would do such a thing, even if it does look horribly suspect.]

Malfoy may be many things, but a murderer isn't one of them.

If he was possessed, then he was merely used as a vessel by an outside source rather than acting on premeditated terms. That therefore makes him in no way responsible for what happened, does it not?
