[She had nightmares again. Screaming, bloody things that leave her tearing at her mind, crying out and pleading with whatever god will listen to make them stop, make it all top.

But when she opens her eyes, she finds herself calmer, grateful even to be where she is, despite not having her crew, her family, with her. At least not most of it.

So she's awake and perched on her window, watching the sun. She smiles a little bore turning on her bracelet and staring into the recording device]

This place is strange. It gives us the people we love, then takes them away again. It gives us great gifts but at the price of some of the gifts we had...

But I think about where I could be. All the places I could be, one of them being dead, and I'm grateful that I'm here. Not every day, not most days, but right now I'm just grateful I can see the sun.

We'll keep each other safe. [That idea makes her smile.] Keep each other from getting eaten.

That sounds like a splendid plan, I must admit, especially as I'm not edible.

[She grins.] Neither am I. We are better than food.

Even the very best food. [Alice nodded.] Although all this talk of eating has made me a bit hungry.

[littlesoul]

[That makes her laugh, nodding.] I can find you. We can get food together.

Oh how splendid! What shall we have? Shall we have a specific sort? What is your favorite sort of food?

[littlesoul]

[River grins.] I like apples. You?

[madcuriosity]

Oh well, I'm absolutely fond of tea. But that's not food... oh ah! I suppose my favorite thing to eat are scones with clotted cream. Do you know what those are, Miss River?

[littlesoul]

[She nods.] Scones are tasty. We should...Find things. Have a party. A tea party. [She offers up an almost hesitant smile.]

A tea party! Oh that sounds splendid! [Alice smiles back quite brightly.] Shall it just be you and I or shall we invite others!

[littlesoul]

You and I this time. Next time though, we invite everyone. [because obviously there should be a next time.]

[madcuriosity]

Oh! A private tea party, sounds absolutely splendid. I can't wait. Shall we have it right now?

[littlesoul]

[She grins, bouncing on the balls of her feet.[ Up to you. What do you feel like?

[madcuriosity]

I don't mind, if you give me a chance until tomorrow I can make sure to have all sorts of foods!

[littlesoul]

[She nods, grinning.] All right, I'll see if I can't find anything interesting to bring along too.

[madcuriosity]

Don't worry, the most interesting thing shall be the tea! [Because priorities.]

[littlesoul]

[She grins, nodding her head.] Definitely. It will be wonderful.

[madcuriosity]

The tomorrow you and I and a tea party!

[littlesoul]

It's a deal! [She waves] I'll see you tomorrow!
