[Today, Hibiki seems to be spending some time in the Grimoire's Sigil, for those who can recognize the background behind her. In her hands is a green plate with an array that some may remember from the past painted on it.]

Umm... Hi, everyone! I started getting a little hungry while I was studying runes, so... I thought I'd make some snack plates for everybody to use while they're here.

This one is for melon bread. If you just activate the rune like this, [She holds the plate horizontally again and presses her hand against it,] melon bread will appear!

[And so it does! One warm loaf sits on the plate, waiting.]

There's a red plate that makes cinnamon bread, too. As long as everyone's careful and keeps the plate clean, we should be able to use it for a while without having to reapply the paint. Just, umm... try not to eat off of these plates, okay? That way they can stay clean for everyone to use!

Exactly that. If another attack rolls through anytime soon we're going to need more than bread as provisions.

Oh, like r-- umm... rashes?

[She looks a little embarrassed. She hadn't even gotten close to the right word.]

They need to be things that will keep for a while without spoiling, right? Melon bread isn't so good for that... [She should know, they tried it once.]

But, I think if I tried making a different food with it, we could use that instead?

Bread doesn't keep for longer than a week or so, I think. The question is how difficult would it be to use a food that's stable enough to last for long periods of time.

Umm... Dried things are normally good, right? Those last for a long time, and you don't even have to cook them again before you eat it or anything.

Dried things are good. Generally rations are prepacked but I doubt you could actually create something like that with just runes.

That might be a little difficult...

But if we made a spell to dry out foods and things like that, we could use it to make lots of dried fruits for people to take with them! And those are good even if there isn't a battle, too!

I suppose it's a start. Right then. Get to it, start seeing what you can do. [Meanwhile he's going to do some more research.]
