[ ahahaha okay, so, Lily's a Muggleborn, right. which means she should probably be alright at handling Muggle technology? only she's from the 70s, and they sure as hell didn't have holographic video screens popping up out of bracelets back then, so even after she watches Loki's ..special guide, she's still left looking a little bewildered. still, she figured out how to play the videos on the main screen, and how to post her own, only she has.. no clue where to go from there. so. ]

[ she sounds cheerful, confused, and damn proud of herself for figuring out how to get this to broadcast. WELL DONE, ME. now, time to kick up some of that bravery in the face of the unknown and get on with it. ]

My name is Lily, and I suppose that, in light of why we've all been brought here, I just wanted to introduce myself straight off. [ yeah she has no idea some people have already been here for a while, oops ] Er, only, just curious - is there some sort of telephone directory I could take a look at? It's entirely possible I've arrived here on my own, but I was- [ apparating ] -going somewhere with someone, before I got here, so I was rather hoping he found his way here too. If so, I'd like to get in touch with him, or with anyone I might already know, and this seems to be the easiest way, only I don't.. completely know how to use this bracelet properly yet. So. Right. I'm sure you see my predicament. [ she's really really really hoping that her husband is here too :c and she's a little nervous he might not be, that nobody she knows from home is and she's been taken here without being able to say goodbye first, hence the rambling ] Either way, I'm still getting settled in, so to speak, but I'll do my best to help out, where I can. [ EVEN WITHOUT HER MAGIC, SOB. ] Luckily- [ Lily stop this really is as corny as you think it will sound ] - I'm all about breaking the ice with new mates, so I'm sure that won't be too difficult.

[ get it, cause Loki's guide said that talking to people and making friends makes your God-given abilities stro-- okay nevermind there's no saving that cornball moment at all ]

[ it grew back makes her laugh, because she knows he couldn't possibly just mean in the normal way, which means there is a magical excuse for James' ridiculous hair. she'll never let him live that down. and now, finally, since she's managed to roughly memorize the poor boy's face at this point, she steps back, her fingers immediately twisting together just to stop her from fidgeting or anything so obvious. ]

There's no date here? I suppose that makes sense. [ grin! ] We'll just have to celebrate your birthday.. whenever it's been about a month since you arrived here. --We haven't missed it, have we?

[The laughter makes him grin easily in response. His mother is still everything he imagined and more. He always knew she had to be, but he is definitely seeing it in action right now.]

There is a date, but nothing like what we're familiar with. And you haven't, not yet. It might need to be closer to two months. Maybe somewhere around a month and a half. Er, not that you have to.

[But Harry has always liked having good things happen for his birthday. He won't deny it.]

Oh, no, we have to. We absolutely have to. What if we're only here for a few weeks? I can't miss out on this golden opportunity to embarrass you. --Lovingly! Of course. Only from the best places of my heart.

[ a beat, then her cheeks kind of turn pink and she gets a sort of oh uh um expression on her face ]

I'm being too forward, aren't I? Clingy? I'm usually much more graceful at handling surprises. Especially welcome ones! You're a completely welcome surprise, mind. Just- [ breathes ] -family means everything to me. Which I'm sure you know all too well by now, but.. Right now, in my life, where I am, I don't really let myself think about how badly I'd like to start a family. I haven't because I know how much James wants to, and there's some part of me that would give anything to just be able to ignore the world and do it, but there's so much going on that it wouldn't be right to, not right away at least. But here you are! You're proof that things will be okay, that we'll have that, all of us. [ aaaanother pause, for a breath ] That's a lot to process, actually.

[Something inside of Harry's heart squeezes so tight that he can feel it in his throat. The smiling, the standing there like everything is okay—it suddenly becomes harder. The first bit started it, he realizes, and then there's everything after that.

He clenches his jaw as he tries to keep himself together, just finally managing a head-down nod.]

[ her nose scrunches up a bit as she shakes her head, almost as if she doesn't understand what he's saying ]

Nothing to be sorry for, Harry. I'm glad you told me right away. Honestly. I think I'd be rather cross if I found out sometime later on that you were here this whole time and I wasn't getting to spend time with you.

[ hm! ]

The real question is - what shall we do now?

[ like there's some fun to be had here, she's just waiting to hear about it ]

Now? ... Are you hungry? We can go eat, if you're hungry. I know a good restaurant.

[He doesn't know how good of an idea it is to bring him to Jade's restaurant, so it's likely he'll hit the sandwich shop Hermione took them to on that first day.]

And you can tell me what your life is like right now. Mum—you—I never heard much about it.

[For obvious reasons, but he doesn't add that. It's technically not a lie.]
