[ ahahaha okay, so, Lily's a Muggleborn, right. which means she should probably be alright at handling Muggle technology? only she's from the 70s, and they sure as hell didn't have holographic video screens popping up out of bracelets back then, so even after she watches Loki's ..special guide, she's still left looking a little bewildered. still, she figured out how to play the videos on the main screen, and how to post her own, only she has.. no clue where to go from there. so. ]

Hullo!

[ she sounds cheerful, confused, and damn proud of herself for figuring out how to get this to broadcast. WELL DONE, ME. now, time to kick up some of that bravery in the face of the unknown and get on with it. ]

My name is Lily, and I suppose that, in light of why we've all been brought here, I just wanted to introduce myself straight off. [ yeah she has no idea some people have already been here for a while, oops ] Er, only, just curious - is there some sort of telephone directory I could take a look at? It's entirely possible I've arrived here on my own, but I was- [ apparating ] -going somewhere with someone, before I got here, so I was rather hoping he found his way here too. If so, I'd like to get in touch with him, or with anyone I might already know, and this seems to be the easiest way, only I don't.. completely know how to use this bracelet properly yet. So. Right. I'm sure you see my predicament. [ she's really really really hoping that her husband is here too :c and she's a little nervous he might not be, that nobody she knows from home is and she's been taken here without being able to say goodbye first, hence the rambling ] Either way, I'm still getting settled in, so to speak, but I'll do my best to help out, where I can. [ EVEN WITHOUT HER MAGIC, SOB. ] Luckily- [ Lily stop this really is as corny as you think it will sound ] - I'm all about breaking the ice with new mates, so I'm sure that won't be too difficult.

[ get it, cause Loki's guide said that talking to people and making friends makes your God-given abilities stro-- okay nevermind there's no saving that cornball moment at all ]

[ so now that the mun involved has gotten that out of the way, james can finally just let himself be relieved and excited and thank merlin she's here. because that's lily, his lily. she's here and she's nervous and he can't help but grin a little at whatever this muggle but not muggle technology is going.

it's like a photograph, but one he can interact with. ]

Well I guess that's a good way to get your name out there. Make a lot of new mates for me, yeah? [ and he's laughing, just laughing. he might look a little insane but he blames the fact he was so worried and now he's not. because lily's here, his wife, she's here and she's okay and if he can just...

and then, it's like a second thought. ]

[ there's a long moment of OH THANK MERLIN, but then she pffft ]

I'll be making plenty of new mates, Potter, thought you're not allowed to steal them, so don't even think about it. They're my friends. [ yeah, she's acting a little mad too because she's just reallyreallyreally happy he's here ] I'm en route to my new House, actually. I've been sorted into Freya. [ she's sure she should be proud of this, even if she doesn't know why just yet ] How about you?

[ ah yes there's his lovely wife wow he missed you for all of like, half a day. ]

I dunno if you can keep calling me Potter. Since that's your name too, now.

[ ALL THE PROUD GRINS YES. but then he's a little distracted because she mentions houses and things and wait, he was told one of those... ]

Wait- you say Freya? Pretty sure that was my house too. It's the color of the stone of your bracelet, right? The sort of purpl-ey maroon?

I think that just means you can call me 'Potter' as well, if you'd like. And that I'm allowed to call you whatever I like.

[ ahuehuehue. ]

Right! Yes. [ she tries to lift her wrist to show the little jewel on the screen, but it's still attached, like, to move with how she moves, so- that doesn't quite work, and it just makes her laugh again ] You'll have to take my word on it.

That won't get confusing. And that's right, you can call me whatever you'd like. Petnames are preferred, though I think Sirius took the whole Jamesy bit.

[ wow can they be any grosser really. ]

So we're in the same house then? Brilliant! It's like we're back in school all over again. [ and james just laughs at the whole jiggling around of the video feed. good job, lily. it's a good thing he loves you. ] I've trusted you with more, I think I can handle this.

I'll meet you at the house, alright?

I'll call you Pookie from now on then, shall I?

[ they really can't ]

I suppose that means Sirius will be joining us as well, if that's the case. We'll have to sort out dorming arrangments, although I'm telling you now I won't settle for having you to myself for anything less than six days a week. Five, tops. He can have you on weekends, I suppose.

[ ... it's sad that he would actually be okay with that. ]

[ but then just...laughs. oh goodness, he didn't really think that far ahead now did he. ]

I'm sure we'll figure something out. I could get him to agree to weekends and Holidays, maybe, but he'll also want a room down the hall.

[ and then he just nods, gives her that starry-eyed look he can't quite seem to get rid of quite yet, before he cuts the feed. guess who is going to be running all the way to the freya house and looking around frantically for his head of red hair. ]

[ she won't EVER CALL HIM THAT THOUGH oh Merlin, James, you mushball

still, she laughs once the feed cuts, finally looking out ahead of her to see where she's going, and it turns out she didn't stray too far from the directions she was given to get to her new room. it would be much easier if she had her magic, but. well. sure. even if she is still carrying her wand in her pocket, just so she can reach for it out of habit. it's a comfort thing.

she isn't waiting there long before she spots James running in her direction, and there, that's better, actual, real relief. he's not just an image popping out of her bracelet, he's right there, real and whole. much better. ]

Over here. [ she just lifts her hand and waves, just for a second, then moves to meet him halfway anyway. and of course she pulls him in for a hug, like it's been SUCH A LONG TIME ] I was so afraid you weren't here. [ there, there's that, just a quick confession, and with it wriggles out the rest of her nerves. she presses a kiss to the side of his face, all affectionaffectionaffection ] You're alright?

[ but she could if she wanted to. that is what he's trying to get at here.

but he runs, and he sees her wave and it's just a matter of seconds before he's there and she's close enough for him to wrap his arms around and probably pick up and spin. just because he missed her, just because for a few hours he was actually terrified she wasn't here. he'd met sirius, yes, and plenty of others but lily? lily was who mattered. ]

Yeah, fine. [ he only sets her down enough to grab both sides of her face, lay a kiss on her forehead before looking her over. checking as if to make sure she's okay just in case she doesn't tell him. ] You? You're fine?

I'm fine. [ emphasis from admiration, not irritation. her hands move to hold onto his wrists as soon as he touches her face, cheek brushing against his palm. ] To think, we finally got settled into our flat back home and now we're brought here. You'd think they would give us a bit of a warning first.

[ james just smiles and leans his forehead against her's. she's here. lily is here and alive and it's as if the entire world is lifted off his shoulders because he can finally just breathe. ]

Maybe these 'gods' didn't like our decorating choices. [ which is a laugh, because lily had spent the last few months trying to get it to look halfway decent, with no help at all from james beyond lifting and moving. ]

Merlin I was worried about how. How long have you been here?

Hey. [ because yes, those were HER decorating choices, thank you very much. although it's a playful protest to go with his teasing, and she only scrunches her nose at him in retaliation ] I haven't been here very long, honestly. Just long enough to make half-sense of the map on this thing, and send out that message. [ she got antsy :c after a moment she finally pulls back, reaching to lace her fingers through his. ] C'mon, let's go find our new room. Two-Oh-Two, a nice even number.

[ if he wasn't too busy keeping his hands on lily at all times to make sure she's real and here and his again, he'd put up his hands defensively. i'm just saying the gesture would say. but instead he just laughs, kisses her forehead again. ]

Bloody brilliant. [ yes she is. he should have thought about making some kind of post on whatever this bracelet thing was, but muggle tech? never really made it into his list of interests.

but there goes lily, taking his hand in her's, and james just follows her easily as they walk off to the castle. ] You say two oh two? Gods mustn't have gotten our wedding invite. They put me in two oh four. [ he's joking, of course, but still laughing. when he gets a better idea of where they are and what was going on, he'll start looking into going home. he'll figure out about sirius, and that time issue, but now?

wait. ]

Sirius. [ it's half a moment later when he realizes he's said it out loud, and he tugs lily to a stop beside him. ] I've got to go grab Sirius. He's here- you saw that, right? I should grab him.

Does that mean we get two rooms, then? [ said with a bit of an 'oo la la' tone, because hey, fancy living for the Potters, ey? but then he stops her and she nodnodnods because Sirius! right! of course! ]

I did see that. And you should go get him. [ but not until after she leans in for another kiss first okay there now he can go ] I'll have a look at my room and see if there's any bedside literature I can read about this place until you get back, yeah? [ ... another kiss. ] Be safe.

[ all the 'i will take credit for everything' grins. ]

I always did promise you a two-bedroom flat, didn't I?

[ no, he really didn't, but they're agreeing on something now so he'll just kiss her back each time she leans in. ]

Right just- stay there till I get back, okay? Or just use this... [ he waves his wrist about, not quite sure what to call the bracelets yet ] Should be able to talk to you that way too.
