[Hello, Asgard. The entire city is treated to this lovely smiling visage.]

Hey there, Asgard. So, after a lot of thought, I've come to realize I really need to get a job. Preferably not at a pet store.
[Sorry, Scott, but if he had to work around Isaac and Derek, it was likely there'd be some sort of war involving projectile puppies or kittens. No one wanted that, man. No one.]
A man needs to be able to buy the finer things in life. Maybe some of the not so fine things as well. I don't know what the job market's like out here, but Stiles needs some dough.
[He needed to be able to impress, not that it had ever helped him before.]
Is there a sign up place? A help wanted section? A newspaper? Ye olde job market? Come on, help a guy out. I shouldn't have to state the obvious, but heavy lifting isn't my strong suit. Neither is anything involving having to move. Or do things that require effort.
[Okay, so it wasn't that bad, but he wanted to make sure his potential employer had lowered expectations. He might need to slack off to help a certain best friend out and if no one expected anything from him, that gave him a lot of leeway.]
So, any takers?

[Because his best friend was a bleeding heart who hired jerks and assholes.]
Don't know if I'm really... qualified to be owning anything of my own.
[Stiles knew his limits. He was the research kind of guy, not a 'welcome to my monkey palace, watch them dance' kind of guy. Though, dancing monkeys would be pretty cool.]

[Blinking Finnick tips his head to the side.]
What is the name of the pet store?
no subject
Allison's.
[God, Scott. Stop naming everything after your girlfriend. It was making Stiles look back.]

[When she wasn't stealing his best friend for sexy times or giving him looks that told him without her having to say anything that she knew painful ways to get him to shut up.
Allison kind of scared him. A little.]
How long have you known them here? I know Scott said he's been here almost a year?

Yeah, drinks and boy time are, uh, good.
[Except when you added Stiles to the mix. No. Bad. Don't do that, Finnick.]
no subject
[The innuendos don't bother him, in fact Finnick just leans forward.]
If you and Scott are so close, then maybe you can join in next time. The more the merrier.
[You see this Stiles? Finnick just winked at you.]
no subject
Um, yeah. Sure. Guy time. Drinking. Just, um, we need an adult around next time.
[For their own good. It would keep any more fires from happening or any more lat night moonings.]

[He wasn't sure if that was a brilliant idea or a terrible one.]

[Apparently something amused Finnick, because his smile widens a little bit more.]
So Stiles. How do you feel about kids?
no subject
I think they at some point in time could eventually grow up to be semi-decent people. Unless they're related to Jackson or Derek. Then they're automatically put in the 'likely to be a dick' category. Why?

[Stiles would prefer not to have to deal with kids unless he absolutely had to. Scott was the one who fell for things with big eyes like puppies and kids. Stiles just wanted to play his games and read his comics.]
no subject
Just behave and you'll be fine. You seem like a good kid anyway.
no subject
You know you're not that much older than me, right? I may look scrawny but I'm not ten.
[Finnick, stop being so... old.]
no subject
no subject
[That made all the difference, Finnick. All of it.]

[Have a bit of a grumpy look, Finnick. Derek was about that age and he didn't think even he'd referred to them as kids. Hell, he and Scott were the ones to point out they were kids more often than the adults they dealt with.]
