Okay, so. That went. Well, I guess. And it's good to know that death doesn't seem to be a problem if we die fighting this frakking war. I don't think it's quite the same as the cylons, but death not being permanent is still....frakking creepy if you ask me. But welcome back to those we lost? Sounds like everyone is back now.

Anyway, I figured out which power I have. Flight. Pretty fitting I guess, since I was a pilot back home. It will take a bit more practice to really get the hang of it, without being in a viper, but it's good to know what power I have now.

Arya, you okay, kid? I got a small handgun for you. We can set up targets for you to practice, if you really do want to learn to use it. It's nothing too big or fancy, but I'm not sure you would want anything much bigger than this, especially with recoil. And if anyone is wanting to complain to me about this, I don't give a frak. She asked me to teach her. I didn't force her or tell her she should learn. And she already knows how to use other weapons.

I was going to consider asking what might happen once this is all over, for those who were dead back home, but I see someone else already beat me to that, so I won't go into that.

I have to admit I do like my hands and arm intact. I use them quite often. Got too many scars as it is.

Yeah, I know what that's like. Still have one on my stomach from when I got shot. I guess I should be thankful the cylons found me and took me to their hospital to treat me, but still. [It wasn't an experience she ever wanted to repeat. Knowing what they were doing to those women in attempt to reproduce. But she recovers quick enough after a deep breath.]

Cylons helping you out? Not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Must've been a hidden motive. It's rare the enemy actually wants to help.

They--they were trying to lure human females there, claiming the hospital had supplies, food. But they were wanting to use them for their experiments. Trying to figure out how to reproduce. I--if I hadn't stopped them, if I hadn't escaped...I don't want to think about what they would have done to me.

I don't know. You have to be crazy to volunteer for anything with me though.

[He pauses to listen. Tyki didn't make it a habit to hurt women mostly because in his world a good lot of them were weak. There wasn't any point in picking on someone unable to defend themselves or beautiful. It was a shame when he had almost killed Lenalee and Miranda. If it hadn't been for Kanda, it might've ended up that way.] We don't have to talk about this if you don't want to. I was just curious.

Maybe I'm a little crazy then.

It's okay. I stopped them. I just haven't really talked about Caprica in what seems like forever. [Gods, she had barely really talked about it to Lee. At least Sam sort of understood, for the most part. He'd been there on Caprica, even if he hadn't been in the hospital to see what the cylons were attempting in person.]

Well, everyone needs a little crazy and risk in life, or it's pretty boring if you ask me.

If you're fine with it then alright.[He never minded small talk. Tyki had the way of bringing out the worst and the best in people. He enjoyed all the fun in conversations like these.]

I couldn't have said that better myself to be honest. I can't stand it when it's boring. I'd rather be crazy.

I won't ever be fine with the idea of what they were trying to do. What they put those women through. But...I did what I could for them. And we saved those we could when we went back. [They had saved Sam. She kept her promise to him.]

Exactly. Outside the box is where I live. Which I guess is how I come up with some of my crazy ideas. But even if some were against orders, it got the job done.

I can't imagine you would be. Women shouldn't be treated like toys but nothing is ever fair during war. I've only met two on the other side before and almost had to kill them.

I think wouldn't crazy ideas, nothing would ever get done and nothing new and fun would ever show up.

Even in a war--those women were hooked up to these machines, I was manipulated and lied to when Leoben wanted me to believe they had made a kid from when I was in hospital. Even for a war, nothing excuses that sick frak. Nothing.

Thing is I would've killed them because they were on the other side. But if it is any consolation, it would've been as quick as possible. [Others that he enjoyed a good fight out of or were far too brave died slow. Heroes often died slowed to be more exact.]

We'd be stuck doing basic things and sitting around waiting for everything to arrive. Even our conversation couldn't happen unless we were right next to each other.

Well, yeah. An enemy is an enemy, regardless of if they are a woman or a man. I swear, if Leben shows up here, I'm putting a bullet between his frakking eyes. [It's her first instinct, after everything he has done to her.]

Would be pretty boring without anyone taking risks and trying to think outside the box to solve problems, figure out new tactics and strategies. Isn't that what science is all about, what war is all about?

That would be something I could watch but an opportunity like that shouldn't be wasted. Just make sure you enjoy it.

[He understands that. If it wasn't for the Earl's instructions, he might've already killed Allen once or twice. Things had changed.] Would be a dull world and I'd need a lot more drinks. That is if we'd have drinks without crazy ideas.

What, you think I should send out invites? Somehow I don't think everyone here would appreciate the show, or understand. They don't know everything that frakker did to me.

Frak that, a world without booze. I don't think I'd last much longer than a week. [Because if there is one thing everyone knows about Starbuck, she loves her alcohol. It's how she deals, how she escapes from the pressures of being told about her 'destiny' and being special. How she numbs herself to avoid getting too close and hurting anyone else around her.]

I think the invite would only be for one or two people but namely just me. I enjoy watching someone get what is coming to them. But that's your own private affair and maybe only you should be the one that enjoys it. I wouldn't want anyone stopping you from what you got to do.

Like usual, you and I agree on a lot of things. A world without booze would be problematic for me. [If that keeps up and that is true, this might end up being a Friday Night thing for him. He'll meet her at the bar anytime even if he never gets any for the effort. It's fun.]

True. I just--not that it would make any frakking difference. I killed him at least six times while he had me kidnapped. And death still isn't permanent here either. But hopefully it will get the idea through his head to leave me alone. [Hey, she can dream, right? If only. At least for now she has some respite while he isn't in Asgard for the time being.]

Problematic is one way to put it. As I said to the Admiral of the Pegasus before, I drink, only to excess. [She gives him a knowing smirk and grin, raising her glass in agreement. She would never be opposed to drinking being a regular thing, and Tyki is surprisingly decent company.]

Oh, he's one of those people. Some are just really hard to kill unless you mean he just couldn't die. People like you and I can only get so much space until our enemies start creeping around. A shame.

[Even if he was the one that was the real threat. He never really left Allen alone for long.] We'll just have to get together more often then and keep that spirit of yours open to drinking.

Well, he was a cylon. He would just download into another body and come back to where he kept me locked away. I just figure and hope if I kill him enough times, he might get the message.

[She laughs and gives him a smile at that.] I wouldn't say no to that idea.

So they are more like machines instead of actual people? If so I think I have a better idea of them now.

Like machines, yeah. They were originally robots we created to make life easier on the colonies. But they ended up revolting, sparking a war between us. Eventually, there was a stalemate, and armistice. They frakked off for about 40 years and then came back and destroyed our homes. Some might look human, but they aren't. Unfortunately I don't even know all the models, so for all I know, one might show up here and I couldn't say if they were a cylon.

[She manages a small, knowing smile at that.] I'm sure you were.

I should've put two and two together earlier but I get it now. Hmm, crazy ideas are still better left to doing anyways. At least you're fixing your problem, hmm? Or I hope so. I'm still fixing my war. [He paused.] 40 years? That must've been a hitch in someone's plans.

[He'll make a small snort at that.] Mmhmm.

I'm fixing it. Or, trying at least. Shooting down as many of the metal motherfrakkers as I can to protect Galactica and my pilots. Frak knows why they suddenly decided to come back. I couldn't care less the why so long as we deal with the present problems.

Heh, there are not many more of the enemy's side for us. Though if I were to die, my power would reawaken in another. It's not that simple for them. The war has been going on for a long time. Guess you're right. Present is more important.

Your power would be transferred to someone else? [Like the cylons and their memories or something?]

Pretty much. There are only thirteen or I should say fourteen people like me. When I die, someone else will gain the abilities that I have. It's a shame it will no longer be me or look like me. There would be no more Tyki Mikk. Just a new member of our Clan when the abilities awaken in another.
