[Arya hasn’t even realized she’s turned her bracelet on, simply playing with turning it from where it hangs about her wrist. She’s lost it once before but has it returned to her after a bit of scolding from her brother at the time. Now it is in it’s rightful place as brother and sister converse. Jon is sitting behind her, carefully trying to braid his sister’s hair which is beginning to get long again after such a length of time in Asgard.]

You know, Sansa would do this all day if I’d let her - braid my hair. I think you might actually be better at it!

[She laughs, tilting her head back a bit to laugh in his face where he can see it.]

[Unaware as well that this is getting broadcasted, Jon frowns lightly as he redoes a braid twice, gaze lowered and focused. Though his burnt hand has regained strength enough for him to wield Longclaw anytime he needs it, it still lost some of the more delicate dexterity. His sister’s words make him smile lightly.]

You would not say such a thing if you could see it from here. Your hair is looking quite close to Ygritte’s by now. [He teases Arya, of course. The braid he’s making is not the most straight one, but there’s no knots in her hair, unlike the spearwife used to have.]

You mean messy, right? I still might cut it all off sometime. It’s long!!

[Long hair automatically equales ‘girly’ in her mind. She wrinkles her nose at him before letting him get back to it. The more she moves around, the more chances of him having to start over again.]

[Jon pauses and tilts his head, moving so he can look at Arya.]

Why? Even the spearwives amongst the Wildlings have long hair. Some of the men did too. And sometimes their beards were even longer than their hair.

[Tormund had a great bushy beard after all.]

Did they braid their beards too? [That’s a funny to picture, in her head. She knows next to nothing about wildlings save for what her brother and Old Nan have told her.]

Oh! [And this was about the time she realized her bracelet had been recording.]

I accidentally turned my bracelet on, now people can see how good you are at doing my hair.

[She’s teasing, really!!]

[Jon shakes his head, nearly rolling his eyes] If they want knots in their hair, perhaps.

You are doing a fine job of it. I am sure if I had any brothers they would not be able to do so well.

Thank you, Princess. [A small smile.] There was no choice to learn, Arya would always managed to mess her hair while playing around the castle. It was the only way to repair the damage she would do before her mother would noticed.

[ She is surprised, a bit, to hear that he refers to Arya's mother as if she is not his own. But that may explain the different surname and she does not broach the subject, only smiles.] Then you are a better brother than expected. I wish I had brothers to get me out of such trouble when I was her age.

[He spokes of Lady Stark in such a manner without thinking: after all she is Arya's mother and not his own. Though the fact that Mithian doesn't raise a question about it is gratefully appreciated.]

We always have been very close, Arya and I. [An amused smile curls his mouth upward]

And I did not only have gotten her out of trouble. [He might have been responsible for a few of her own pranks and mess.]

How many other siblings do you have?

Four more. Robb was the eldest, then after me came Sansa. Arya was in the middle, followed by Bran and then Rickon. He was just a babe the last time I saw him, however.

[It's clear that he loves his siblings very much, and that he misses them, even though he's the last of his father's sons.]

Were you an only child, Princess? Or did you have siblings as well?

I am the only one. [ She smiles sadly.] My mother died when I was young.

[His own smile fades lightly as well.]

I am truly sorry to hear. Do you remember her some?

[Jon can't remember anything of his own mother.]

Very little. [ She smiles softly.] I am told that I am like her in many ways. My father and I are closer for it, however.

She must have been a great lady then. [He says with a small smile, cheeks flushing slightly. Why yes, he's paying you a compliment, Mithian.]

I never knew who my mother was, but I am still grateful my father took me into his House, and let grow up with his other children.

[ Oh, well, she smiles at that.] Thank you, Jon.

[ Of course, what he says next confirms what she thought however, she cannot think lesser of him for it. You are born who you are.] I am sorry to hear that. A child should not be without their mother.

[She's one the very people he knows that comes from a similar world that doesn't seem to hold much importance to his baseborn status.]

I suppose not, no. But Lady Stark had always been...kind to me.

[It's not exactly the whole truth, but Jon will not misspeak of his father's wife, not with the death she was dealt with at the Twins.]
