That's correct. Euri and I opened an apothecary a few months ago. She tends to do the selling and I do the creating.

That's incredible! To be able to make potions and the sorts! Is it very hard?

[wasthemaster]

Not for me, but I've been working with potions maybe since I was about your age. [That's good, Alice. Keep stroking his ego...] Euri's learning though.

Since you were seven? Goodness! What sort of potions do you make? What can they do?

[wasthemaster]

Somewhere in the neighborhood of that, yes. Currently Euri and I specialize in sleeping potions and some variety of offensive potions. I'm working to create defensive potions and potions specializing in altering people...medications, strengthening, those sort of things.

[madcuriosity]

Altering people? Could you... make a potion that changes someone's size? [Maybe the Drink Me was a potion by a witch or wizard.]

[wasthemaster]

...I suppose I could try, but why would someone want such a thing?

[madcuriosity]

Well, not so much as want... but you see, I once tried a concoction that made me grow at least a mile high and fill up a whole room! I was wondering if such a potion existed. All it said on the bottle was "Drink Me." It didn't say anything like poison so I thought it safe.

[wasthemaster]

...interesting. [And now there are new ideas sprouting.] Seeing how you're certainly not a mile high now, how did you shrink again?

[madcuriosity]

Mmhmm! The white gloves and fan made me shrink. Oh but, so did the Eat Me cake as well as the sides of the mushrooms. Miss Euri was very upset at the mention of the mushrooms though.

I don't blame her. [Seeing what mushrooms mean to Euri's people...] Where did you even find these items?

[madcuriosity]

In Wonderland.

[wasthemaster]

And where, precisely, is Wonderland?

[madcuriosity]

You go down a rabbit hole by the Thames and go down down down down! So far down you might fall asleep with how long and slowly you fall. Then you come to this room of doors!

[wasthemaster]

Must be a rather large rabbit hole then. Where do you land?

[madcuriosity]

A normal rabbit hole I should think! Although I've never gone down any other rabbit holes so I really couldn't tell if it's very big, for you see, I'm very small. I'm the smallest in my class.

You land on a pile of dry leaves and sticks, but it doesn't hurt at all! You just pop up and head down a hallway to a room of doors. My favorite door leads to the most beautiful garden!

[wasthemaster]

You're also quite young, so I should assume you're very small.

...I'm not sure about the physics behind falling a very far distance and landing safely on leaves and sticks, but all right, go on. What does the garden look like? Better yet, where do the other doors lead?

I got the order of what made her shrink and grow wrong since the drink me makes her shrink not grow

I don't know, they were all locked. The little golden key only opened the tiny door behind the curtain which lead to the garden. Oh but, despite being so small for my class, I was too big for the door. There was a bottle labeled "Drink Me" with no other words. It didn't say poison, mind you, so I thought it very safe since if something is labeled poison it was bound to disagree with you sooner or later!

Then I shut up like a telescope and couldn't have been more than ten inches tall! It tasted like a mixed flavour of cherry- tart, custard, pine-apple, roast turkey, toffee, and hot buttered toast! Which was all very yummy though you would think it taste terribly strange at the sound of it.

Oh but... while I was certainly big enough to get through the door, I had forgotten the key on the glass table!

[Even in being a wizard, he's having a little bit of a hard time wrapping his head around this. It's not entirely unbelievable, but he's not sure why a little girl would know all of this. So he settles for nodding along, curiosity getting the better of him as he asks--]

So then how did you get the key? You grew again, I suppose? But isn't that a bit problematic, constantly growing and shrinking?

There was a cake that said "Eat Me" near by, it made me grow a mile high. And then that's when the fan and gloves made me shrink. But it made me shrink to such a small size I was no bigger than a mouse! And I had to swim in the pool of my own tears that I had cried and caught a ride with Mr. Rat to the library. Which... now that I think about it, I'm not really sure how we got there since all the other doors were locked, but there you have it.

You have quite the imagination. I'm impressed.

[madcuriosity]

Well, I did think it was all a dream, yes. But then after being in this place and talking to the Doctor, I'm not so sure anymore.

[wasthemaster]

The Doctor's prone to making people question everything. What did he have to say?

That I might have found a wormhole to another world... or dimension? Something along those lines. It's not an actual wormhole, mind you, that's just a way to describe how it's this... link between two worlds and is very difficult for people to discover.

[wasthemaster]

...that seems plausible. I almost wish there was a way to solve that theory.
