third spell ✰ BACKDATED day 254 ✰ video
( Hermione was having another nightmare. Or at least, it felt like a nightmare. She was searching for something important to her, but every time she reached her hand out to touch it, it would vanish as though it had never been solid in the first place. Over and over, until she could feel her breath coming in gasps and tears rolling down her face - was she screaming? It felt like she was saying a name, but she couldn't quite understand what it was, as though there was something obscuring her hearing, keeping her from understanding.
There was a flash of red hair, which vanished---
And then she woke up, sitting straight up in bed and panting, one hand pressed against her mouth to keep herself from screaming. This was a new one, wasn't it? But surely, it didn't mean anything...
Rolling over and reaching for her bracelet, Hermione scrolled through the names. And scrolled again. And a third time, her eyes almost too blurred with tears to see. The one name she had been counting on, she had been hoping to find - had disappeared during the night, while she was sleeping. What could she do about it?
By the time the sun rose, she had calmed herself enough to actually say something, though her eyes were red and puffy and had dark circles under them. )
Ronald Weasley has left. If .. anyone knew him, he was .. someone I knew from home. Someone I cared about. ( Was she supposed to say all this? )
I just thought others might want to know.

That's .. that's quite a lot you have there.

[ But he won't stop her from helping. ]

Was it a far walk?

[ He puts his things next to the ones she took, putting his hands together as he waits. ]
action.
I'm glad. I would hate for to have to have come from somewhere far.
Ah -- how do you take your tea?
action.
action.
( She's mixing his tea carefully, before handing it over with a shaking hand, teacup shaking against saucer. )
Otherwise .. it might get to you, right?
action.
[ Him more than others, probably, and that's not being arrogant or anything. Or, at least, not... much.
He takes the saucer without a word about her shaking hand. Yet, at least. ]
What have you been doing to keep busy, then?
action.
I've been at the library a lot. Studying Asgard with the new materials that have become available. It's a lot to get through, but it's been fascinating so far.
( She offers him her desk chair, taking a seat on her bed. )
There were friends .. to be with.
action.
[ Since she's already moved, he takes the seat. ]
I'm still trying to understand why they felt the need to keep it hidden in the first place.
action.
[She considers her tea for a few moments.]
I keep going over the research.. as if there is something they don't want us to know, or find out.
action.
I say they seem like they have a whole lot of that. Seen anything of particular note?
action.
Nothing of interest. Yet. There has to be something.
action.
We'll just have to keep looking.

[ And his voice basically screams how very long he thinks that is. ]

( She knows better than to assume from the accent now. )
action.
No. I'm very far from England. I like it, though; England is my favourite place on Earth.
action.
( that's odd. still, she's smiling -- who isn't proud of her country?! )
It's a beautiful place to live, I think. I've been to France, and all over Europe, and .. Australia, a few times..
( to drop off her parents. after wiping their memories. )

( before the war got so bad that travel was impossible. )
I'd like to go back to Paris, if I could.
