[He had been quiet for a while busy with work and the guild. However that nightmare put everything he was progressing on, slow to a standstill. It was something he hadn't dealt on in awhile. It wasn't the sort of thing he could put behind himself at the moment though.]

...What would you do, if you were forced to start over from to a certain point in your life? [He questioned softly,his voice oddly devoid of emotion.]

What if you had to watch everything you've done and all those you've met fade away like smoke? Would you able to live knowing that everything you have ever known is gone and it may never come back?

[He stops after that last question, turning towards his window and gazing up at the sky. ]

so failure means the world gets dealt some kind of hand involving reincarnation or at least regeneration
while you get sent to jail until you pay off your debt

It's more like a world breaks and a new one created near by the old one. You're pretty much right about everything else.

although that sounds a little more dramatic than fading away like smoke
more like a big ass world omelet actually if you ask me

I did say it was a bit hard to explain, the world didn't literally break though. I'm just using a different example. The old world still around but most life was moved to the new on.

[He wasn't about to say yeah darkness swallowed the world, life faded out from the place, and a new one was made nearby as a result. That sounds even more convoluted.]

[Davesprite's not about to criticize when his universe is a frog with cancer.]

i guess that means the "may" you used makes more sense
if things can escape from one world to another
and youve still got a chance to pull off a diluvian style rescue

If the world can be save like that once then maybe your right and it can happen again. I certainly try my best so it wont ever come to that again though.

yeah
and thats the thing about it sometimes
you cant worry too much about the consequences or it fucks things up
so you kind of just have to go with it
