fifth wing Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ video
[A clearing of the throat, and a certain moth man dressed in a bright purple suit comes on camera, looking unamused as always.]
So, they say that you can judge people by what they like, right? I mean, if you like reading big long tedious books in your spare time, people will tend to think that you're big long and tedious when it comes to conversations. Or, if you like action movies and things with large explosions in them, people might think you're an adrenaline junkie and more likely to jump into a reckless situation. Or if you like really trashy romance novels, you don't actually have a life and stay at home all day because nobody will ever go out with you. Stuff like that, you get the idea.
So, I thought, why not ask people what they think about a certain thing I actually know a little bit about?
Insects.
[Yes, he's being serious. Nick gives the camera a level look.]
Tell me what insects you like, and I'll then judge what kind of person you are based on that. Yes, I'll count spiders in with that one. And if you don't like bugs all that much, you can just tell me which ones you don't like, and I'll judge that too. Think of this as a survey, of sorts.
...
If you have no idea what insects are, then I wonder what in the name of Sam Hill is going on with your world, because it must be the apocalypse over there or everything is messed up, that's all I can say.
[Anyone who says they hates butterflies is automatically getting a punch in the face from him, just saying.]

Because as time goes on, my race will be eventually wiped out by them. It's already starting, actually. So, yeah, no, not a chance. We tried, but look where that got us.
Nothing but bloodshed and death...
A leopard cant change it's spots. So the human race will continue to behave like the locusts they are.
If they knew the whole truth, I'd be dead within minutes.
And yet, do you see humans trying to kill those who are not like them? Is that something you see on the streets, happening right now?
[He lets out a laugh, grin widening, though it's anything but nice.]
News flash, kid. The reason why none of that is happening right now is because all of us are in the same boat. None of us, save the gods, is in a position of power or has something that people desperately need beyond anything else.
Back home, that was different. Our race had something that people would kill their best friends for. And they wouldn't take "no" for an answer.

The belief came after the actions, not beforehand.

[He's a stubborn one, Mr. Nick.]
I mean, I know how much you love them and all, but I want nothing of it.

And it's alright if you don't believe me or take importance in it. I will still love you.
[Now he's intrigued.] I mean, okay, okay, you love me, but...what don't you love?
...Have you ever been alone?
[ he smiles softly ] I have too felt deep loneliness all through my life. I still do.
[He seems to have brushed it off, but something in his expression seems to say otherwise.]
But if people are surrounded by others, are they not alone anymore?
because it's not just about presence in the physical world, but your presence in someone's mind, and someone's presence in your mind. How to shapes you, re-shapes you, changes you and affects you; this is a bound.
You think about this kind of stuff a lot, don't you? Like the nature of souls and whatnot.
