[The young males voice that comes across the network sounds kind of hushed as well as muffled, as if he had something covering his mouth. He was actually trying not to draw too much attention to himself, even though he was making a broadcast and addressing the populace.

He had been here for a few days now, though never ventured out of his room. A lot of thinking and second guessing himself is what he's mostly been doing, its okay though, for the longest time now he'd been used to just his own company so its fairly normal to want to be alone for a while... That and other personal reasons.]

So... How about them new powers aye? No really, is there anyone out there who can tell a keen chap a little more on the blighters? That maid was rather helpful but I was admittedly mostly distracted to take full note of what she was saying.

I'm in no rush might I add... Looks like we're all settled in for a while eh? Guess it could be worse...

I can't begin to guess what house you're part of, but at the start these new powers are very weak.
You can make it respond to you faster with practice much like anything else.
The more you socialize, the stronger it gets.
[He expects his message to be ignored. Like it had been for days. That would be fine, it would tell him what he wanted to know.]

[No... No, no, no, no, no! Not Dirk, not here, not now. Jake was in no way ready to have any kind of interaction with him, nor did he expect Dirk to even want to talk to him again. He was so torn! Part of him wanted to apologize for everything! The other part wanted to run away and hide, pretend he'd never gotten this message and play it ignorant for as long as he could.]

Heimdall. Ive never been good at training or socializing apparently. Oh well its a pointless power anyway.

[He doesn't know what to expect now that he's been answered. Dirk's pretty sure the LAST person Jake wants to hear from is him. But damn it, he doesn't know when he's from.

To be fair, we've been stuck with our small group for ages.
There's no telling what we're capable of now that we're out of the void.

I beg to differ strider. If i cant even master my power let alone use it in the light im pitching for then it does render it all a bit pointless.

[Dirk winces, yeah he can tell now when Jake is from. Or at least, the general area. It takes him a few minutes to reply, namely because he doesn't know how to word what he wants to say.

He really wants to get up and walk away but, he'd engaged Jake. Running away would be hypocritical. Naturally, there's an element of pride in him too that refuses to let him retreat.]

'Do you want me to give you space' It made Jake realize what a moronic dick he'd been, how stupid he'd been to think Dirk wouldn't be cool with such a suggestion and here he was fucking suggesting it... It was all backwards, it could have been avoided...

[He feels like crap after reading that. Jake's confused. He's not sure he's over him, and it's all a mess.]

[His voice is quiet, and he curses.]

You weren't the only one at fault. I treated you like shit at times.

We're still friends. That hasn't changed. Ok? [He doesn't know what else to say. Especially when he could be bordering on pushing.]

[The sound of Dirk's voice, instead of just reading his text in his head was another pang in the chest. Dirk was just being polite, Jake just knew it. There was no way Dirk or Jane would ever be the same with him after all that bullshit, friends or not... It was all going to be different and Jake couldn't stand the thought of that.]

Ok.

[He wanted to say more, but that was all he offered, seeing as his voice sounded as if it were about the break and strain. He sighed, letting Dirk know he was still there, he just wasn't talking.]

[He says nothing at first, just breathing softly. Dirk flexes his fingers before he tries again.]
